Handsome Justin just said we get a national holiday next Monday to mourn. It looks like federal employees get a day off and the rest is up to the provinces since most workers are under their jurisdiction. Doesn't look like anything will shut down in Ontario. Edit: rather it looks like nothing will be required to shut down. I wouldnt be surprised if banks and the like take the day. Good thing I'm a rotten tax man who works for the fed  |

Yeah it is kinda getting to that stage I said earlier nothing against the monarchy, I think there is benefits in terms of tourism and though I don’t understand it myself there is a significant percentage of the population who support them like a football team (Though I’m sure there are people out there who don’t understand supporting a football team ha) but when you get things like this and the whole Center Parcs debacle you have to wonder how far it’s going to go |

I’m currently abroad and return to Gatwick at around 2am on Monday 19th September. I’m well aware of the significance and understand about paying respects, but hopefully common sense will be applied and I’ll still be able to pick up my luggage and car before any formal service starts. |

I think its amazing as a parting gift the Queen has given the British people the most complex, technically advanced Queue the country has ever seen. Just what every true Brit wants.
if i didn't live so far away I'd go and see the Queue. not anything else, just the queue.

My friend wants to go to Westminster Hall from Thursday to pay respects so will probably tag along. Expecting big queues though. Not going now. Queues are apparently 9 hours long and I’ve got work all week till Monday. 5am starts. Not risking it. At least I have Monday off for the funeral. |
