If Punk leaves AEW in the near future which wouldn't suprise us one bit giving the news breaking out the last days/weeks. Which matches we never saw in his AEW Run would you regret never happening the most? Punk vs Danielson? I mean we got that in WWE! Punk vs Joe wouldn't be that good these days just the promos. Punk vs Sting is a Matchup we never ever got to see! Not that anyone would have ever called it a dream match but still it would have been entertaining. Even at this point of Sting's Legacy with the right build-up this could have been a great Match!

Nah. Sting is best in the small roles he's been doing. I don't know I'd want to see him in a full high profile singles match.

Yeah, over the last few days I’ve been thinking “we never even got that AEW Danielson/Punk match”. When Joe debuted and everyone was like “finish the epic riva-“ Nope.
And of course no Kenny Omega Vs C.M Punk.
Cole had mentioned dying to be working with him, nope. Like tears in the rain.

We had Punk, Danielson, and Joe active in the same company at the same time for possibly the last time. A shame they couldn’t do Punk/Danielson or Punk/Joe, though I guess there was no way to predict Punk would get hurt so much and also go insane during a press conference.

Its hard to say it was a miss when punk has been in AEW for a short period of time and has only been used in major programs.

I have always maintained that Punk and Brian have poor chemistry.
I never saw any indie matches they had so if I am missing something then cool but their WWE matches were incredibly dry

I feel like Punk vs Omega is the big one they’ll miss out on. Punk/Sting would be cool for a fun, for the fans type of thing, but Punk/Omega would’ve been the money match.

I agree with Mid-Carder, but I would have still enjoyed seeing it. OP and Fade raise a sad realization with the fall-out. Gotta admit, as slow as Punk v. Sting would be, Punk v. Joe probably be the same speed, if not slower😜 I have always maintained that Punk and Brian have poor chemistry. I never saw any indie matches they had so if I am missing something then cool but their WWE matches were incredibly dry Honestly, I found their chemistry got better in WWE, but I had only seen their ROH match before they wrestled in 'E. I find Danielson to be much faster than Punk, and it shows when they wrestle. Where Punk makes it look difficult to fly, Danielson makes it look so effortlessly. For me when they wrestled it looked like Danielson had to slow down for Punk.

Especially Bryan for me. Danielson has always come across in Punk's interviews as someone he genuinely admires and respects, which obviously is a rare commodity for him. The promos between them would have been great just with that dynamic alone. He couldn't "big time" Bryan, or talk down to him b/c dude was his equal in Punk's eyes. It would've been cool to see someone that could have shut him down and put him in his place on the mic in a way not a lot of others could have done.

There's a lot of Punk matches left on the table if he's gone.
What the f*** was this guy thinking when he went off about nothing important is baffling.

They need to do Sting vs. Billy Gunn, as a way for Sting to get revenge for his loss to Triple H at Wrestlemania 31.

I think Punk showing up with the Surfer Sting facepaint for that actually really fun match was enough Sting interaction, personally. Sting feels best used working with younger guys and giving to the next generation, and that's a rub Punk just did not need.

Crazy how Sting’s remained injury free, at his age, despite some insane risky leaps. Punk on the other hand
