Do you think that Paul Heyman would have returned one day to the WWE if Lesnar had not returned in 2012?

Yes. Dude would probably have still managed Punk in 2012 and 2013 if Beastie Boy didn't come back.

Very unlikely. The only reason he returned in 2012 was that Lesnar had a bad Promo and pitched the idea backstage or just told them to bring Heyman back so they called him! Heyman was still on no good terms with the Company at that point, so i doubt he would have ever returned had it not been for Lesnar. In retrospect that would insane to think about knowing how much he has done in the last decade.

Not a chance. He was checked out of wrestling, and wasn’t on good terms with Vince. He only came back because of Brock,

I doubt it. TNA were close to signing him back then. What a massive mistake they made by not. I wish I could remember which podcast I heard this on, but I remember either Jeff Jarrett, Eric Bischoff or Bruce Prichard saying that he wanted complete creative control over booking the product and intended to phase out all the legends except for using Sting as a special attraction, and Dixie Carter was to married to the idea of keeping Ric Flair, Hulk Hogan and other legends, and wanted Vince Russo to still be a creative consultant. Anyway, I just feel like despite the ups and downs, love/hate relationship that Paul Heyman had with Vince McMahon that he never truly entertained the idea of going anywhere else. |

only way I could see him return without brock is as booker with 100% control over creative, which Vince would never give.
the December to dismember ppv disaster is enough to show that Vince would eventually rip up Heyman's playbook when he felt like it and step in to take back control and instantly 180 back to the status quo before Heyman took over.
