Endgame for Austin Theory and MITB?

So how are they going to finally pay off Austin being the MITB winner? Does he challenge Reigns and get destroyed? Does he wait for someone to finally beat Reigns and then beat that person for the title? Roman's ultra long title run has pretty much put a wrench in the MITB concept.

Hopefully holds it for a whole year, starts getting desperate he’s running out of time then eventually loses.

Unless something clicks in the next few months and he gets super over I don’t want him anywhere near the titles right now.

If Roman Reigns endgame is Cody Rhodes at “Wrestlemania” next year, I could see him successfully cashing it in at the absolute last moment against Rhodes on the June 30th “Smackdown” before next year’s “Money in the Bank”

However, let’s say that next year’s “Money in the Bank” is held on a Sunday, I think it would be a novel idea and something that has yet to be done if he cashed it in on a house show the Saturday before.

You could do a nice little story of him repeatedly trying to cash it in, getting more and more desperate as he starts to run out of time leaving everyone to believe his opportunity has expired when he’s unable to cash it in on the go-home “Smackdown” before “Money in the Bank”

Just have Roman beat his ass and be done with it, does anyone really want to see a year of teased cash ins and then MITB happens again and someone else starts walking around with that damn case? Or worse Theory wins it again.

The only real loophole to this is that at any time the MitB holder can just say "Next week I challenge you to a match". The same way RVD did and Cena did it. However, Roman's somewhat part time schedule now could play into that. Theory challenges Roman, knowing he won't be there the next week.

Yeah, it's one of the only stories they haven't told with MITB yet.

Have him keep getting thwarted every month and as it gets closer to the expiration date he starts getting more desperate and paranoid that he's going to miss out. In the end once it gets to early July he's forced to challenge the champion to a fair match on the final eligible show because all his attempts to backdoor his way in failed.

I hope they keep the case on him. I'm tired of MITB winners losing or even having to defend the briefcase. They never give a good enough kayfabe reason for why it's happening. It's not a title. He shouldn't have to defend it.

I've been kind of thinking he'll lose it to Owens who'll then fail the cash-in to further the Usos / Sami story. Of course that's assuming any aspect of this story will ever f***ing progress.

There's some fun to be had with having a MITB event where the WWE Championship match goes on first, Theory tries to cash in last year's briefcase there but he gets stopped and that's how it expires. Even if it plays with the rules a little, it could be fun.

Desperately rushing from backstage to cash in (either it's shortly before the year is up, maybe at the next MITB show itself, or Roman is incapacitated in the ring, finally with no help around)...but he runs into a shocking return of the 24-7 division idiots chasing each other around. Theory trips on one of them, the briefcase goes flying and is caught by one of the refs always following them around (who takes it as a cash-in attempt), and to try to stop himself from falling, Theory fumblingly grabs the current 24-7 champ and accidentally rolls them up, thereby accidentally cashing in his briefcase for the MITB title instead.

I think at Wrestlemania it's probably going to be the Usos Vs. Zayn and Owens for the belt with (hopefully) Zayn and Owens going over.

I also hate people losing the MITB briefcase like it's a title. He's won it, it's his. If they don't want him to be champion then he can just lose his title shot via shenanigans
