I'm kind of hoping they keep some aspects of 2.0's presentation while just toning down others. The paint and the bright lighting are too much but NXT toward the end there was looking really cheap and trashy.

gold and white. also finally getting rid of 2.0 name is fantastic.
NXT 2.0 lately has been a good mix of both versions so I'm excited about the new branding.

The white text with gold reminds me of HBK’s Mania 26 attire.

Good because in the long run it shouldn't even have been called 2.0.
NXT 1.0 was the competition thing.
NXT 1.5 was the Redemption "brand"
NXT 2.0 was the start of the brand.
NXT 2.5 was when they started with events like Arrival and the Takeovers.
So this should have at least been NXT 3.0 if I'm not missing any steps.

I get why they are doing it because people still don't want to accept that NXT 2.0 is/was a fun show because the logo was a Vince idea. I doubt anything with the show will change but its a good idea to rebrand to get people to watch.

I said it last week I will again this week: Once Bron loses the NXT title, put him with Alpha Academy as Gable's new recruit, and let Bron and Otis be a tag team force for a bit. After all, Rick Steiner didn't really find himself until after being in a tag...and Scott Steiner was tag teams for a good while before the Big Poppa Pump days. Alpha Academy could be Bron's Varsity Club. |
