I'm kind of hoping they keep some aspects of 2.0's presentation while just toning down others. The paint and the bright lighting are too much but NXT toward the end there was looking really cheap and trashy. honestly the new logo is a lot slicker than the Black and Gold one at teh end.

Does that mean Takeovers return ? Well, they never really left as a concept, but the name might come back.

Clearly they were hoping for a Splatoon sponsership and that didn't happen... >_>

NXT 2.0 the best one season classic of all time. Makes Firefly look like garbage. Freaks and Geeks was great in its day and all, but did that have Jacy Jayne and mob wars and Tiffany Stratton? No.

I liked the NXT 2.0 logo. As well as the lighting. Made everything feel colorful and vibrant.
I at least hope the show keeps the identity it's had over the last year. Despite the sprinkles of super indy stuff of old the last few weeks there's still been plenty of goofy stuff too so that's a good sign as that's what I liked about 2.0. Tonight's episode was very enjoyable and I think one of the best ones they've done lately. Although the ending sucked with Solo winning. I'm seriously worrying that the Bloodline is going to hold the belts all the belts and literally never lose them to the end of time.

Even the idea of what a super indy IS feels like it's changed in recent years. Thinking about popular indy acts now, yeah you still have guys who's gimmick is just "wrestles good" but folks like Danhausen, Orange Cassidy, Dalton Castle, etc. have shown you can be a weird gimmick and make something of yourself with it. (I'm aware those guys aren't really indy now, but that just shows that they've made it to the point where they can go on the national TV stage.)

Quincy Elliot may be the NXT version of what you've pointed out, but without the same ring skill as an Orange Cassidy or even a Danhausen.

I can support an aesthetics change at least. I warmed up to the show. But I never liked the clown vomit colors and overly bright arena.

HBK had the logo on contact he offered sometime in backstage video and it looks to be White with Gold trim.

The unicorn diarrhea colour scheme sucked and made NXT go from branding that was “we’re underground, edgy, and alternative” to “we’re so bright and shiny and hip and polished and mainstream and heyyy 2.0 that means we’re new and improved too “ — I preferred the former vibe. It would be nice if they could return to Full Sail. It’s definitely cost effective for them staying in their own studio but something has to be done with the lighting and setup of the place. Just needs alllll the 2.0 stink off of it.

I can support an aesthetics change at least. I warmed up to the show. But I never liked the clown vomit colors and overly bright arena. My initial "f*** yeah" response was geared more towards this. It's just too bright, and gaudy, and it makes my head hurt. Bring back the old entranceway, dim the lighting to make it feel like the wrestling is the star, and it'll be a start. I don't want AEW-lite, or anything like that, but Bron as champion is boring, and the women's division used to be the star of the show. I hope they find a nice balance between "Takeover quality" roster, and the more interesting gimmicks that y'all seem to love.

I, uh, I enjoyed the paint explosion motif. Reminded me of In Living Color, which I loved as a kid.

I am all for the aesthetic change and thought "2.0" added to the title was dumb and meaningless

I’m totally on board with the aesthetic changes. Holy shit did I hate the colour explosion, but I’ll also agree that NXT has gotten pretty enjoyable again lately

Is it black and gold or white and gold (as the logo shown at the end was white text)?

Good because in the long run it shouldn't even have been called 2.0. NXT 1.0 was the competition thing. NXT 1.5 was the Redemption "brand" NXT 2.0 was the start of the brand. NXT 2.5 was when they started with events like Arrival and the Takeovers. So this should have at least been NXT 3.0 if I'm not missing any steps. I miss Redemption.
