I'm really hoping they're building up to a swerve with laying it on so thick with the Mox / MJF feud but AEW has a pretty well-established history at this point of just telling you upfront who's winning a tournament then doing it straight so I'm thinking Moxley.

Probably Moxley, someone going to club Danielson in the ankle like Nancy Kerrigan when the ref not looking. Probably MJF.

Until it came out that Mox delayed his vacation to right the ship after Punk launched a torpedo into it, I would've said him. But Mox deserves that vacation and I really want Danielson to win.

I think it'll be Mox, but it really should be Bryan.

It’s possible Mox and MJF feud without the title but I’m looking through the roster and I can’t think of a good talent to work with Danielson on the way towards the next PPV.
Maybe Cole if he came back, but who knows when he’s coming back. Kenny, if he came back, absolutely. Hangman, but the guy feels so placid lately.
So..unless Danielson goes heel (which there’s been no indication of) I think Mox takes it and fills in the role of Punk for the MJF feud. And Danielson continues the JAS/Garcia stuff.

Tough to tell. Clearly Mox is the ace. But I think the better story may be MJF vs Danielson where Mox gets time off and returns as the conquering hero to vanquish MJF

Possibly Miro, he cut a promo being mad about being left out of the tournament and all. Though Miro in his own right is pretty much in a position where if his next big title push doesn't commit to actually giving him a belt then he's probably never going to matter again.

I think this should be Danielson. Mox needs his vacation, putting Danielson over would be a good way to go out for a bit, and I think making him a three time champion, even if the circumstances of it would be understandable, wouldn't be prudent right now.
Danielson's story of beating three people who beat him in his AEW career seems too good to me.

The heart says Danielson, the brain says Mox.
Based purely on reading headlines, Bryan never wins important matches in AEW.

Miro really deserves so much better.
This is someone who should be a big part of the show and in my opinion could be a world champion, yet since he returned hes wrestled just 4 times in over 3 months and all he seems to get is random 30 second promo videos.

I'd give it to Danielson, who doesn't really want or need a big dramatic storyline ascent to the title. Let him get it, have a few killer defenses, and then lose to MJF as a transitional champ. I'd instead have MJF feud with Mox real fast after Mox loses and have MJF write him off TV entirely by going over. Or have MJF jump him post-match, Pillmanize him, and then have MJF be his first defense or whatever in a few months. Just give Moxley his vacation, he deserves it.

Danielson’s winning lol. They wouldn’t have him go on this type of road to the title just to lose. A year after his big match with Kenny at the same event, too? It’s his time now. Putting the belt back on Moxley just isn’t a wise move at the moment. You run the risk of the audience getting sick of him if he gets another title run so soon.

Danielson's story of beating three people who beat him in his AEW career seems too good to me. Honestly, I never even thought about "if" he beats Moxley next week, he'll have defeated three wrestlers that hold victories over him in consecutive weeks, and that's a great little side story. Anyway, I think it should and will be Danielson as well.

Hoping it's Danielson. He deserves it on the basis of...well, being Bryan Danielson. And Mox deserves a vacation. Plus he runs the risk of becoming stale if he wins the belt again after he just lost it.

Thinking MJF's throwing us a big old red herring, and it's Danielson.
I'd be happy with either of them as champ, though I'd prefer this be Bryan's moment.

I agree Max is a red herring and it's definitely Danielson now. If Mox is staying around a bit longer he may do a short feud with MJF before Max moves on to his title story.

It better be Danielson. He's the biggest star in the company now that Punk is gone/out, except he's actually reliable and legitimately the best wrestler in the world (IMO). Let Mox have his vacation, which he has earned, and then let BD have some bangers as world champion before dropping it to MJF.
