If Moxley wins and becomes 3x AEW champion, that would mean one third of all world title reigns were his. That'd be really silly.

Danielson should win, because Mox again would seem lazy. It would like Moxley is the placeholder for whatever guy they wanna make champ next and I don't like it. Plus, he just jobbed to Frail f***muffin and I just want to forget him and something fresh for the main event scene.

Love both guys, but when I'm in the stands I'll be cheering Danielson; that's my guy going back to '04 ROH, no way I'm not pulling for him to win his first AEW title.
It's not that Mox would be bad at all, and I'll pop when he enters, too, but it's too soon. He deserves to finally have a "normal" reign (no pandemic crowds, no "interim" stuff, etc.), but let him have some breathing room from his last one, first, especially when you've got a great option like Dragon right there to run with for awhile.

Danielson beating all the guys he couldn't in the past (Hangman, Jericho, and Moxley in his AEW run) would make for a better story.

danielson makes most sense since mox is owed his vacation. maybe MJF murder/kills mox after costing him the match "costing him what he holds dear". danielson is probably ok putting MJF over afterwards given how much he's been working with the younger guys (outside of jericho but still tied to garcia) since arriving. Miro i think would be a good feud for wardlow though it seems he's more focused on the main title.

Here's a question- Moxley or Danielson, do we all think that whoever wins is destined to lose the title to MJF at Full Gear/whenever MJF cashes in his shot?
If it is going to be Danielson, I'd like him to have a long run with it to be honest. But is not putting the belt on MJF in a few months seen as a missed opportunity?

I still think Danielson wins only for MJF to somehow get his shot immediately afterwards and win the belt.

Danielson most definitely. I adore Mox, he is AEW’s ace. But I think it’s a good move to move on from Punk by giving it to the next biggest star in the company. Plus it’s fitting that he wins the World title a year after he his first match in AEW. That’s the kind probably unintentional symmetry that I like.

I sort of assume the idea will be to give Bryan at least a month or two, maybe Mox vs MJF before Mox goes on vacation while Bryan got some other challengers, before the MJF match happens one way or another. Presumably, they'd want MJF to get back in the swing of things, anyway, versus just immediately rushing him into a high stakes world title match.

I think it's time for Danielson to probably go ahead and get a run with it.. but going from CM Punk who got injured in both of his title matches, to Danielson who unfortunately seems like he's just one concussion away from legitimately having to never wrestle again is scary..

Maybe it’s because of the way MJF is treating the chip like a MITB briefcase (any time I want) I’m leaning Mox then MJF “cash in” Maybe I’m just too use to WWE booking tropes. No..more and more I’m thinking it may be a real possibility. Feels like they’re intentionally being vague about the parameters of the chip. Also at Scrumgate©, when asked if Punk vs MJF was planned for Grand Slam, Tony immediately refuses to comment..which makes me think it was.. Of course, everything’s been thrown topsy turvy cause a rabid dog backed himself into a corner but..I think it’s possible. The “AEW way” would be either Mox or Danielson wins. Most common sense prediction being Danielson..but they’ve been teasing MJF Vs Mox. And is Tony really going to have Mox lose clean for only the second time ever so quickly after his first clean loss and after all that’s happened..? MJF cashing in fixes that. Mox & Danielson have a barn burner. Mox sneaks the win. MJF capitalizes and possibly puts Mox out for Vacation. Him and Danielson go on to feud. 🤷..it’s possible.

Much as I want MJF as champion, I really don't want a super-short reign for Danielson so if the end game is MJF cashing in immediately Moxley is the better option.

The fact that MJF isn't scheduled to appear on the biggest Dynamite of the year makes me think that a cash in is very possible.

Wait so does the poker chip work the same way as a MITB briefcase? Can MJF redeem it as soon as the match ends?

They both fuse together right in the center of the ring, rendering Moxielson your new AEW World Champion.
