I stopped watching WWE on the regular in 2016, so I never saw the events of Braun Strowman being put over in the main event scene by virtue of his ability to lift and overturn vehicles.
I just watched a few clips from WWE's YouTube page and am completely confused.
My dude flipped a limo, a lorry, an ambulance, a van, and maybe some other cars.
Did these feats of strength get over with the live fans or the TV audience who were watching at the time?
Did Strowman's flipping over of vehicles break wrestling logic? As in, if Strowman can flip an ambulance relatively easily, shouldn't he be murking bros on TV in no time at all?
And what did people think about Kevin Dunn Kevin Dunn-ing the segments with so many camera angles, quick shots, and implausible and nonsensical camera placements, mostly the GoPro shots?

I think it was generally well received because it made him look like a beast and it was during his whole 'I'm not finished with you yet' run against Roman in which he was super over. People always want some kind of superhuman feat of strength and flipping over an ambulance is pretty damn impressive (I realize that it was likely rigged to something to help him). People hated the Kevin Dunning because it's terrible. Really though at that point he was typically still wrecking most guys. He wasn't quite no selling everything like his debut but he was still clearly superhuman. The thing is, there's only so long you can go on doing stuff like this due to diminishing returns.

I’ll never forget the night he jumped Roman, pushed his stretcher off a ledge, and tipped the ambulance. A poster even called it before it happened.

Made him look like a beast, and face Braun was basically a giant cartoon character.

Mattel probably loved it, given there was a playset with Braun with a destructible car you could buy.

Dude was so strong, his sweat-soaked shirt made Alexa Bliss 30% stronger

They were basically trying to make him The Mountain from Game of Thrones.
Plus him flipping over cars was a cool visual.

They were basically trying to make him The Mountain from Game of Thrones. Plus him flipping over cars was a cool visual. I don't deny it's a cool visual, but as always with WWE, the company doth protest too much! I see my man flip a lorry and a limo, and even in the highest suspension of disbelief that is kayfabe makes me go "hold up, wait a minute, something ain't right!" If Braun stuck to flipping small sedans, okay, I'd bite. Maybe I'm being too fuddy duddy about the internal consistency of wrestling logic, but the more a company does something, the less special it is, and the more unbelievable the whole act becomes. How many times has Paul Wight been a part of the ring breaking, for example? And knowing that Braun was out of WWE for a bit and is now back into the fold, I wondered was the effort to have him be Strowman the Strong Man at this point in time when I wasn't watching the product, really at all, was worth it.

It was better than Mark Henry bending frying pans: But what if Henry did this to the Big Show's hands?!?

The "I'm Not FINISHED WITH YOU" era of Braun Strowman made him feel like a video game monster. He was Mr. X from Resident Evil 2 and Roman's only choice was to keep running until the legitimate battle could take place.

They had to do something with the boring, one note waste of flesh and tipping over vehicles was at least something impressive.

Did these feats of strength get over with the live fans or the TV audience who were watching at the time? It did, yeah. For a while, Braun was genuinely one of the most over acts in the company, until his consistent choking every time he went up against Lesnar started taking the shine off.

It was better than Mark Henry bending frying pans: So glad they made him do this. Literally looks like me trying to fix something that's made of metal by just bending it rly f***ing hard.

It was immensely over. Braun was for a while the hottest talent in the company. In true fed style by the time he won the strap way fewer people cared

They kept doing it, because it was over every time.
Though Braun is bombproof as a WWE wrestler. Has he jobbed too often to your main eventers? Take him off TV for a few months, then the minute BRAAUUUUUUUUN music plays, the audience go "OH shit, someone's gonna get killed!" as if none of those losses every happened.

Braun was super over and could have been their next big face, had they not decided to have him consistently fail to win the Big One.
He is a huge missed opportunity for them, in my opinion.
