Inspired by Henry Zebrowski of Last Podcast on the Left. He said he dresses like he’s in junior high. It’s because he always wanted a bunch of cool shirts when he was that age, but didn’t have the money for them. Now he does. The thing that really applies for me is film. I’ve loved movies for as long as I can remember. Especially horror movies. Every now and then I’ll get reminded of some obscure movie that I was interested in seeing 20+ years ago. Back then some of those movies just weren’t available. Or if they were it was some overpriced low quality bootleg VHS. Now some of those movies I can get uncut, crystal clear versions of for less than $10 with free shipping

Butterscotch Chips.
When I was a kid my Mom would take me to the supermarket with her and buy chocolate chips to bake with. But I would always see the yellow-brown butterscotch chips next to them and ask my Mom to buy them instead. She would refuse saying nobody liked butterscotch chips. But when I grew up and moved out I boughts me some of those butterscotch chips, and you know what? THEY WERE AWESOME!

An arcade machine. I have 2. Granted, their Arcade1up countertops but kid me was always willing to settle for a bartop. The arcade market is nuts. Baack 20 years ago a bar I went to was closing and they owned two cocktail table machines. Got them for what was cheapish back then. Sold one when I moved in 2007,just cause I learned it was a very uncommon cocktail machine and I rarely played it. The other one sits in the guest room with a heavy blanket on top it and a lamp as a bedside table. That is Ms Pacman and I do once a month or so go play it. Looked and just a Ms pacman cocktail machine now would be double what I paid for the two decades ago. The Arcade 1ups are decent. Somehow the yearr it was the hot toy my mother could never find the KITT toy car that came with the Michael Knight figure. So I got a friction powered diecast car of KITT. 10 years ago at a con saw a dealer with the car and figure in decent shape. So grabbed it. And there is piles of comics I wanted as a kid that I got in the past 10 years cheap at cons. Cause as a kid I only wanted NM/M. Now as long as the cover is on there and no pages are missing I am good.

Just about everything... Grew up pretty poor, even the things I did get as a kid, I ended up replacing most of the time because they got stolen or sold at garage sales. The things that were hardest to replace were things that came in cereal boxes or came from lesser restaurant kids meals. Here are the things that took the longest to find; Cookie Crisp Bobby's World Pogs from 1994 Cheetos Flicker Cards from 1991 Long John Silver's Stone Protectors PVC Figures from 1994 Topp's Street Feet candy containers from 1990 Kellogg's Cereal Astro Glow Ball Mail Away from 1992 (unfortunately I couldn't find an image of this one because it's super super rare, there isn't even information about it on the internet of all places, but I picked one up a couple years ago after searching for over 25 years) There's plenty of other one off things, but those are items that I spent nearly 20 years searching for online. Before something like eBay, other things were impossible to find such as Food Fighters action figures. The first thing I searched and bought on eBay back in 1999 were those figures.

Being a "tomboy" in the 90/00s wasn't always easy, I was expected (by my mother, anyway) to want to play with Barbies and similar toys. So now I buy all the matchbox cars and wrestling action figures that I want/can afford.

Jokingly, I say a porn vid, but the bootleg sellers don't care about age.
I suppose the first thing I bought as an adult was a fancy meal for myself. And by that I mean I massive burger, like it had lamb meat and blue cheese and a rare steak. I ain't asking my mom to shill out the cash for that as a kid. Too much in the end.
All in all, now actually buy games from Steam. Before Steam, before years before that like PS1 and 2 era where I was underage, pirated games were big here. PS1 games less than a dollar, then PS2 games less than 2. Once you got fast internet PSP games cost far less. No more downloading from iffy sites now.
Physical things, I just don't like. So stuff like posters and figurines, and anything that clogs up my room I can't stand.

I still have my old He Man stuff but I have been buying some stuff I wanted and never got.
Bought the reissue of G1 Soundwave and his cassettes.
Not from when I was a kid but I wanted the 200x He Man stuff but was in a poor money situation at that time. Slowly buying it up.
