Hopefully this is a kayfabe tweet to cut down on the cheating finishes lately, but also kind of a hilarious tweet blending kayfabe.

Another referee strike angle coming?

I mean it’s been a running gag for the longest time how awful they are. And he’s a regular guest on Busted Open and Bully never shies away from his criticism about the refs. Never said it to him directly but clearly he listens to the show. Hopefully it changes, especially Knox.

Another referee strike angle coming? If it leads to scab ref Danhausen then it will be totally worth it.

See THIS kinda shit is what TK should be tweeting. Amusing tongue in cheek sorta self-deprecating stuff. This works. This is what you were doing in the beginning.
Not the tweets that make me want to throw rocks into his glass house.

Between him calling out his refs, to letting his talent call out talents booking record (Gunns asking why FTR are never on the show) - I don’t understand what Tony is doing.
He’s openly calling himself out - and yet; doing nothing about it?

That's not Tony Khan doing the tweeting. It's his twin brother Phony Khan, who can say whatever he wants without it reflecting on himself!

It's not that they do screwy finishes, it's that they do them the EXACT same way. One heel distracts the ref, another hits the face with a weapon literally three inches away from the ref, who's become comatose somehow and only turns around a nanosecond after the attacking heel gets out of the ring. Bryce is especially bad at this because he'll have this "DUH???" expression on his face like he knew something happened but... can't overturn the decision somehow?
It's the big thing I want to see changed in AEW (a distant second to the women's booking obviously). Train your refs to take bumps or act more natural when shenanigans are happening.

Weirdly enough my wife of 5 years who i got into wrestling cites this as her biggest issue with AEW. We always talk about how wrestlers will leave the ring and even go as far as catering and back without an outside count. The consistency of the inconsistency seems to be the running theme.

During the ROH title match the other night, Aubrey saw Claudio selling the low blow, clearly knew something wasn't kosher, but then Jericho made the cover, so I guess the possible cheating was cancelled out?

That's the insulting part of all of it...It always ends with some random shot or low blow only for the ref to turn around and see them bloody/cowering on the growd/etc when 5 seconds ago they were standing strong and the ref just assumes it's appendicitis or what?

Along those lines I hate how Bryce will sell like he's one second away from figuring out what happened after a heel cheats. Like, clearly you know what happened, do something about it. And then on Rampage they did do something about it, but it was {Spoiler}{Rampage Spoiler}Eddie Kingston having his win reversed to a DQ for refusing to release a hold. Like that's been a major problem!

That's just a wrestling trope in general. If the ref doesn't see the actual low blow, you can't assume it happened. Otherwise, you get heels flopping for easy DQ wins.

Imagine if wrestling had VAR (for non-soccer fans, it’s Video Assistant Referee, and they review plays to see if they’re fair). A lot of heel cheating wins would be overturned.

Wasn't there an Alberto/Swagger I Quit match that got VAR'd?

They should do a golf thing and have viewers submit transgressions. Then tack on a 900 number type service charge and take our money.
