I hope not. Just have Cody beat Roman at mania and then vacate one of the titles then next night and have a new draft

I feel like if it was it'd be in motion already given just how absurdly busy Rock's schedule is.
I also have no earthly idea why anyone would even want to see it given it'd be like four minutes long and all of Rock's comeback matches a decade ago were awful.

doubt it. He seems pretty hands on running the XFL. The launch will be right in the heart of mania season. He won't be available for the build.

I'm conflicted on this. Roman did the Rock Bottom recently, and had me side eyeing. But it depends heavily on Rock's schedule and if his people would even WANT him to wrestle again considering how it went last time, so who knows. I mean, it is still like eight months away to build something. They've done more with less.

Yeah.
This was brought up a few months ago on here and people were almost unanimously saying it wouldn’t happen. I’m almost certain it is.

"Meh"
Should be an option.
Any guesses as to what animal + genitalia or food + curse word Dwayne will have written for him (that won't totally be cringe)?

Well, they teased it in Young Rock..
If they don’t do it then they are gonna look stupid

It's all in Rock's court and there's too many factors that could lead him to pull out when the time comes. Dude is a lot older and has a body that is prone to injury. Plus he's always going to be busy with a ton of projects. He may want to do it but that isn't always enough.

I hate everything about it, but honestly … seeing the Rock’s real final match live in person and feeling that ELECTRICITY in the air for that night it does happen.
Might just make everything worth it.
That is a moment of moments.

I just have no idea why Dwayne would even want to. He's incredibly busy as it is and he doesn't need to, and why risk getting injured?

I hope not so Erick Rowan can still claim he retired The Rock. ^^

I think it was on pace to happen, but Rock has somehow gone to an even higher level in the entertainment industry so unless Rock already blocked out time for Mania it's gonna be difficult to get him to do anything more than a cameo

I'd love to see Roman v Rock but I also want Cody to win the Rumble then the title at Wrestlemania and the two things don't seem to be possible at the same time because Roman clearly isn't dropping the title before Mania now. If he was Drew at CATC was the perfect opportunity.
I guess there's a tiny possibility you do Roman/Cody night 1 and Roman/Rock night 2. In the build up Roman feuds with Cody on Raw and Rock on Smackdown. He loses the title to Cody night 1 and that's the big fall of the Bloodline as the dominant heels (the Usos lose the tag titles the same night) then night 2 he beats Rock and they shake hands after, he goes on vacation and eventually returns as a face.

Weren't there some pretty serious insurance issues the last time around, especially since The Rock actually did get injured in his WM match?
I can't imagine whatever studio has an investment in him is going to give the ok.
I also don't think Aitch has the boner for mainstream exposure Vince did, and Logan Paul and/or Bad Bunny is likely to already get them plenty of that.

Weren't there some pretty serious insurance issues the last time around, especially since The Rock actually did get injured in his WM match? I can't imagine whatever studio has an investment in him is going to give the ok. Batista did a Wrestlemania match in 2019 despite it being just weeks before he was due to start filming a huge budget Netflix movie (Army of the Dead). Cena worked not only Summerslam last year but a bunch of house shows too despite him having multiple projects lined up for major companies like HBO Max (Peacemaker season 2), Apple TV (Argylle) and Universal (Fast X). Rock himself has all but said he'll do the match eventually and is even dropping hints about it in his TV show. I think Meltzer said a while back that Rock was trying to clear his early 2023 schedule (filming wise, he'd still be producing/promoting stuff) to do the match. Who knows if that's possible though. If he doesn't do the match I think it's simply due to scheduling conflicts and him not having time to do it. I don't think it will be insurance related or anything legally stopping him from doing it. That said, if it doesn't happen this year, I very much doubt it ever does. Wrestlemania in Hollywood coinciding with hopefully the end of his cousin's big heel run and all this Samoan family stuff going on. There will never be a more perfect time for it and he's not getting any younger even for a one-off match. I think Wrestlemania 39 is shit or get off the pot time for this match.

I hope so. I feel like it’s what Roman has been building to for so long! It would be a shame not to pull the trigger, if all parties are willing & able. I hope they can make it happen sooner rather than later, while Roman is so hot & while both guys are healthy & able to go. This coming Mania is when it needs to happen! Also, I hope Sami gets tv time with the Rock in the build up. He is Rock’s family now after all 😀

This seems to be the rumor every year dating back to about Mania 32.

They could do a 3 way elimination with Rock, Cody, and Roman. That way, Rock doesnt have to do much, they can have Roman beat Rock, and then have Cody beat him.
