I am still hoping that Rogue Squadron, now that the movie has been taken off of the schedule, will be the basis for the next animated series. Granted, that’s not quite what’s the OP asked about, but it’s not Skywalker-centric (even in the novels Luke and Leia only had cameos and Han didn’t show up until the Wraiths became the focus, though that wound up being more than a cameo by the end). Whatever. Corran Horn, Mirax, Booster, and the Wraiths all need to be canon. Corran was just introduced in canon. Granted, it's just through a small appearance in Kenobi, but it was a fun shout out.

10000% agree. The X-Wing series was my favorite group of books for the longest time. I'd kill to see Wraith Squadron canon. Very force-lite series with exciting dogfights. I never made it that far in the series, but I definitely enjoyed the first few books in the Squadron series as a kid. Looking back, it'd just be nice to have seen that and the original Zahn trilogy adapted, at least. The old expanded universe was obviously a mess in many places, but again, what it had built up in my head was "I want to see what the galaxy looks like now with the New Republic running things"; made the decision to literally blow that up in episode seven really suck in my book. Definitely recommend checking out Wraith Squadron still. I reread them every year still despite not being canon anymore. Really funny books, good amount of drama, a group of screw ups. So much fun to read.

The Alphabet Squadron stuff was a fun read for new canon stuff. They kind of reminded me of the Wraiths.
If you really want Corran Horn in a prominent role, convince Michael Stackpole to write something in the new canon. Horn was basically his insert character.

After watching Thor 4 I could happily do without his input to the star wars universe, especially if he is voicing a character. He already voiced a character in The Mandalorian and directed one of its episodes. And that episode was great. But in the same behind the scenes feature for that show, dude himself admits he needs to be pulled back as a director. That’s what I’m concerned with when it comes to his Star Wars movie.

Yes, but do they remind you of the Silly Squadron? What about the Dinner Squadron? "I assume you were delirious with hunger when you came up with that last one?" You got to admit though, those two squadrons pulled a pretty good fast one on Admiral Trigit.

It’s telling that the best received projects of the Disney Era (Rogue One/Andor, season 1 of The Mandalorian) are the ones with the loosest ties to anything Skywalker related.
A good starting point would be staying off Tattooine for like 20 years.

Everyone just needs to see a story about the Kushibans.
No one could possibly dislike a show based around adorable bunny/squirrel/cat creatures.

I just wanna see non-epic style movies. We've seen how divided the Marvel Fandom is over low-stakes shows like Hawkeye and She-Hulk. I can't imagine the vitriol that will come from low-stakes Star Wars.

The Mando S2 finale was one of the biggest markout moments of the franchise amongst the fandom and Hayden's Vader was really well-received in Kenobi, so that isn't entirely true.
Solo also had zero Skywalker anything and was kinda just there. Like it has its fans, but it didn't do great.

Have him hang out with Talon Karrde, so Zahn's insert character can be there, too.

All we need now is a time machine to go back to 1983 and convince Lucas et al to produce all products as unrelated to the original trilogy and we’ll really have gotten somewhere.
