Both sides have fair points here, really. Like, if Miro doesn’t think a story fits for him, he has a right to pass it over. The company also has a right to go “Cool” and find someone willing to fill that slot. I think the thing that makes it weirder is that, in terms of losses, Miro has had two clean losses where he’s involved in the decision (Danielson and Guevara) so him not wanting to lose I can get but also go “Dude…Jericho just lost to a guy who couldn’t beat QT Marshall”. As a fan, I hope it’s just a bump in the road and they find something that suits but I also can’t say it’s some kind of managerial failure or anything like that. Jericho also wins majority of his matches. If Miro was more consistent on TV I can see the argument as said both sides have their points. I can’t blame Miro for not wanting to come in to lose to Hobbs if that was the case. No movement up the card with a situation like that and if you’re putting someone like Hobbs over you also want to make sure that win means something for him meaning some type of accolade be it a championship or a signature feud behind that

I got the feeling that they are/were building up Hobbs as the one who beats OC for the AA title, the story is already which started back in the pandemic era.

I don't think his wife should be out there talking WWE returns or anything and that reflects poorly on them, but I also don't think AEW has really done right by the guy. I sort of think that’s besides the point in the context of the story. Like, I’d like to have seen him feuding with the HoB but everything to do with that went pear shaped with whatever happened with Black and Matthews but if what management pitches for the guy isn’t good enough for him and if the company can find someone to fill the spot, it’s pretty cut and dry to me. I mean, that'd be more reasonable if his entire tenure in AEW hasn't been start....stop...Miro goes away for an extended time. He should be a huge player for them and instead, he's been paid to sit around doing f*** all for the better part of the last year.

Is Miro getting paid by AEW coz it's kinda crazy that they can ask him to do something he can say no and... just get paid to sit at home. Wrestling is weird.

Miro tends to be a pretty masterful troll, so it wouldn't shock me if he turns up on Dynamite next Wednesday.
But, if not, this seems like it could get pretty ugly pretty quickly.

Would Miro accept a pitch to wrestle Meltzer on Dynamite?

Need to cut homeboy loose, tbh. He’s getting Aggie, you aren’t using him and when you do use him, it’s in a spot that’s pretty obvs for someone on their way out, not somebody you’re looking to build around, lol.
I promise even in this arms race where companies hold onto talent tighter than a Snuggleplex, it is ok to just let folks walk, lol. The headache CAN be worth it…but not here, lol

Miro's a weird one to figure out because the dude is a massive troll on social media. Like he was being all ornery on Twitter. Then a couple of weeks later, says how much he loves AEW's lighter schedule on Renee's podcast without a hint of sarcasm.
I really do miss the dude being on TV though.

It's a catch 22 when you bring in talent who either they/fans or both felt weren't used enough in WWE. They're gonna get the initial reaction just for being in AEW. At some point they'll be needed to put over guys who hadn't been on Vince's TV because AEW just can't be New York Lite and for a percentage of the audience a new to them wrestler beating someone they saw on TV regularly gets then over. But I can see someone being asked to put said talent over being frustrated because here I was sitting around for WWE not getting pushed and now you want me to do the favor for some dude?
I'm not saying I think it's a good reason, just that I can easily see that argument occuring.

The misuse of him is insane. Not booking him now with one foot out the door is one thing but to not use him properly when he was first signed is egregious.
He overcame the idiotic "best man" stuff and then just kinda disappeared.

Yeah I have to say that the idea of putting Hobbs over Miro is kooky. Not only is Miro better than Hobbs and more popular than Hobbs, he also is someone who himself hasn't been in the main event scene yet and is definitely over enough to go there. They did this with Lance Archer and Miro, but Lance Archer is a guy in his 40s.

This whole thing smacks of then signing him because he was available and not really understanding what they have in him.
I know I'm repeating myself but he should be a top main event guy. The fact they can't even find anything sustainable to do with him is jarring

Honestly who even has time for this dude? I like him well enough, but he’s not a guy that is worth this level of headache. Cut him, save some money, and if he goes back to the WWE let them try to fit him on their TV. 🤷🏻♂️

The fact they can't even find anything sustainable to do with him is jarring When Tony gave him a new 4 year deal with a big pay rise at the end of last year, you would have thought they had some actual proper plans for him when he returned from injury.
There has to have been a falling out between Miro & management, it's the only thing that makes sense with them hardly using him for most of the year.
