There’s one thought in the back of mind that makes me think Sami could be running an elaborate con.
That Triple Threat Ladder Match.
The one where he outsmarted Jeff Hardy and AJ Styles with the handcuffs, a plan so brilliantly executed even Michael Cole had to give him props for the strategy.
So it is canon that Sami is smarter than people might think.
I tend to believe he’s being genuine, but the possibility Jey is right is legitimate.

Who ends up what alignment in this hypothetical situation? Because I feel like anything that leads to the Bloodline being babyfaces is gonna send half this board to the looney bin for real.

At this point, I don't think there's any scenario that doesn't make Sami the face. It's been five years as a heel, the crowds are itching to cheer for him again. Also, a reminder Sami beat Nakamura (who is portrayed as quite genre savvy) clean for a title a few months ago by outsmarting him. His entire MO is that he's capable of utterly outsmarting even the best.

I did have a sneaky feeling during Smackdown yesterday that maybe Sami is the one fooling us all & he will turn on the Bloodline before they can turn on him. But even if that happens, I still think fans will cheer him.
