So New Japan gave these two bozos their tag titles to hold hostage so they can use them to bitch about the Elite and AEW. Swell. I'm not really sure why it's stunning there are people that don't like the young bucks. Where in their post do they even mention the Bucks? Where do they mention being surprised about people not liking the Bucks?

Where do they mention being surprised about people not liking the Bucks? I think when he mentioned “the Elite” he was talking about the Bucks. Didn’t this all start with Dax liking the tweet from Colten about Jungle Boy getting on the PPVs because he hangs out with the Bucks?

It's stunning that someone would go "I've got a boss who helps me get pushed in three companies simultaneously, lets me travel the world plying my craft with pride, sets up dream matches for me even when he has to jump through hoops because his television partners don't want the guys on their channel, and portrays me on his show like a star, but I'm just really mad that he likes some other guys more than me", yes. That is genuinely stunning. Unless the Young Bucks are like fighting backstage to keep them from even having this spot, these two bits shouldn't really connect.

Some talent want to be the top act in their division, it’s always been that way that some will want more/to be the best. I don’t think it’s too unhealthy for them to want more if they think this is the hottest they’ll ever be over. They may only be this white-hot for a a year or two and want to get as much out of it as possible on the biggest stage possible (AEW itself not the titles they’re holding from other companies). Vague posting and liking things on social media probably isn’t the best way to go about it, though.

I don't disagree with the idea of wanting to be on top and pushing for that, I just don't see how that connects to the Young Bucks or Jungle Boy, so if their dissatisfaction is just taking the form of resentment toward their other co-workers for their spots, then that's a really bad thing. Striding to compete for that top spot can be healthy, wanting more for your career can be healthy, but the forms it's taking with FTR don't seem to be that healthy from that outside. It's a lot of anger toward other people and dropping likes on posts vaguing on your co-workers.

Yeah agreed on that end, I had edited my post to add that the vague posting and liking tweets isn’t the best way to go about it, but I do understand why they could potentially be mad or at least not satisfied, in general.

Yeah, I don't think there's anything wrong with any wrestler wanting more than what they have. Everybody should be striving to be in the best position they can be. I don't even think there's anything wrong with saying that's what you want either.
It's just this juvenile, passive-aggressive, sub-tweeting and throwing colleagues under the bus that sucks. You can see the effect it's had in this forum's opinion on FTR. The general consensus went from "why aren't FTR getting a title shot" to "shut up Dax."

Didn't the Bucks and Cody push for FTR to come to AEW in the first place? I don't think the running gag of "f*** The Revival" on BTE was meant to be taken seriously.

It’s totally okay for wrestlers to want more from their jobs. And being in strictly a tag team, your ceiling is lower. Because even in places where tag team Wrestling is more appreciated, you still won’t be a consistent main eventer. And FTR has literally done almost everything you can do in Wrestling today. But if they think they are going to have a great position in WWE, even with Triple H in charge, I think they’d be in for a rude awakening. Because whats their peak in WWE, having endless matches with The Usos? Again? And winning the same tag titles they’ve already won? And even if WWE is marginally better now, it’s still a place that pretty much hates tag teams.
And to whine about it over Twitter. I don’t know what that’s supposed to accomplish. To get people to feel sorry for them? Make me feel less sorry for them. It comes off as immature, petty and passive aggressive and if I’m the boss, it makes me want to book them less.

I agree with you & others that using twitter to complain does them no favors. I respectfully disagree that tag teams have ceilings. It was Vince & the WWF/E, eventually followed by Bischoff’s WCW booking that always booked their tag teams to have a run, eventually break up & feud etc. AEW has tried to bring back some of the old Crockett stuff and the Rock & Roll Express and Road Warriors were as over as any singles act going. The Acclaimed, FTR, Young Bucks & Lucha Brothers are the same right now.
