Since it was referenced on the latest episode of SNL, thinking about the cheerleaders sketch, and was never a fan.
However I might be the only one who feels this way, but I love Morning Latte. So what do you think?
I like Morning Lattee, sure it is repetitive, the same gag of the producer gets annoyed, calls her a annoying b word and than stays kidding, etc. I don't know, it is better than the Cheerleaders, I find them annoying, and unlike the Cheerleaders who you are suppose to care about, the Morning Latte they are terrible people, and I find that funnier. Heck you are talking to fan of the Weinners, so what do I know.

Morning Latte was pretty fun. Were the Culps a Oteri/Ferrell sketch? I liked them a lot (unfortunately, all their sketches were pulled from the Peacock episodes due to them singing licensed songs).

Anytime Ferrell shared a sketch with someone, he was always outstaged by someone else.
It always fascinated me that he was the breakout star from the 1996 class. Chris Kattan, Darryl Hammond, Cheri Oteri, Jim Breuer, David Koechner and Molly Shannon were all vastly superior in the roles they played.
Obviously Ferrell would get more popular as the show went on, but many times he just felt like the only reason he was there was because he was best buddies with the head writer or something.

Man, I was just a kid at the time watching SNL reruns on Comedy Central, but that era was the first one that made me go "Woah, this show gets a lot worse sometimes, doesn't it?" Hadn't really seen any of the 80s material, mostly like the Phil Hartman era through then. The recurring sketches in the Ferrell era just did nothing for me, outside of Celebrity Jeopardy.
Doesn't mean there wasn't a lot of talent on the show at the time, and every now and then they hit on some gold, but I never felt much attachment.
