As an online seller I always like to see what my competition is doing. So I often browse positive and negative feedback. This one from yesterday stood out do to the rebuttal.

No matter how right you are (and this seller doesn’t sound like he is), publicly telling your customer to f*** off just isn’t a good idea.

I was going to share my bad experience with a pizza delivery place last summer, but it pales in comparison to this. Wow.

I've noticed this a few times on ebay. I get that it must be draining to deal with anonymous people, some of whom most assuredly try to pull some shit they shouldn't, but the attitude shouldn't extend to everyone.
Though what I saw was more a discussion about leaving a rating for a buyer and how it's not REQUIRED of them to do that and if it's done, it's out of the GOODNESS OF THEIR HEARTS, so just SHUT UP ALREADY.
Dude: you need the feedback and rating so people know they can trust you to give them what they paid for, and buyers need it so sellers know that their customer is going to give them a smooth transaction. How hard is it to show a second of mutual respect like that?

I am a seller on eBay and is my primary source of income and you just have to be polite to every buyer no matter how rude
like one time I sold an item (a DVD I believe), buyer messaged me angry about it because they didn't read my description properly (though I made sure it was in bold), ranting accusing me of taking advantage of him because he as terminal cancer and would make sure he would ruin my reputation because I'm an evil person, the cost of the item was like £4 (so like $5-ish depending on day), I was still polite through it despite what he was saying
