Putting aside everything else, why did TK railroad Schiavone like that? Did he just fire off the first thing that popped into his brain? Like he could've made his point without doing that.

Yeah its hilarious of Helwani fkd up this one when he couldve easily won this encounter by just ending it with the "snowman" tweet.

Once you start bragging about all the unnamed people who loved your joke, you automatically become the loser of the dispute. Also, if he’s not a wrestling journalist, why is he upset that TK didn’t answer his questions back then? Because it was a waste of his time to have Khan show up and refuse to answer any questions, especially since Khan didn’t make it known there were topics he refused to talk about before the interview started. But people will just ignore that fact and continue to pretend that the only questions Khan refused to answer were about the backstage brawl because they feel the need to defend a thin-skinned billionaire. That's overblowing what Tony did and didn't talk about. He said he couldn't talk about the brawl, and he said he wouldn't talk about contracts (in response to Cody, MJF, and Bray Wyatt) nor would he talk about details of what was said between him and Nick Khan. But it was still over an hour interview and Tony answered a lot. So while no it wasn't just the brawl it's not like he was refusing questions left and right either. Also FYI, whether you like Khan or not, coming into a thread saying But people will just ignore that fact and continue to pretend that the only questions Khan refused to answer were about the backstage brawl because they feel the need to defend a thin-skinned billionaire. can come off poorly. Not saying that was the intent but does come off as rather antagonistic

And this is the kind of stuff that makes participating in these discussions unrewarding and not worth it. I wanted to take a shot at Ariel’s childish and inconsistent comments. I don’t “feel the need to defend a thin-skinned billionaire,” but since people are weird about Khan that’s where we immediately ended up at.

He’s making fun of Bix now, too, who has a point about him. Tony was dumb for tweeting but this is just making Ariel look like a f***ing prick.

"if it wasn't for your old man" Shhhhhhhh, no one tell Ariel how Vince started up his wrestling empire thanks to his own "old man".

It confirms Meltzers report about people backstage were celebrating about Helwani and the Snowman tweet, isnt that kinda embarrasing?

This Freakazoid shit is corny as hell, both in that it's a childish and ridiculous thing to call your critics, and it sounds like he's angling to be the next Cornette.

Ariel, once again, makes himself look worse after the fact. Man found him a new Dana and wants to run with it so bad.

So it seems as if Ariel is trying to get one over on Tony by proving Tony was right. Wait a minute...........

He's on his show laughing at Tony Khan. Refers to AEW's fanbase that came at him as "freakazoids" again. Feels bad for Tony Schiavone being thrown under the bus in TK's attempt to insult him. Says he's not a wrestling journalist, he's an MMA journalist that loves wrestling and likes to talk to wrestlers. Doesn't cover WWE/AEW the way he does MMA. Praises Cole for his jab on air. Edit: Lots of wrestlers were laughing at TK backstage for the initial tweet. High fiving him for his response. Says his tweet "popped the boys" Edit 2: Says he's done with WWE for now, but is open to come back if they want him. Jokingly says he'll even appear on AEW TV for the right price, and is willing to wear a "Fraud" t-shirt to move some merch Edit 3: Asked if it's a work or a shoot with TK, Ariel says it's 100% real, says that's on Tony entirely, as he has praised the product several times since the interview and before. Talks shit about the Jaguars and Fulham FC. lol Why do I get the impression that Ariel is enjoying every single second of fame and notoriety he thinks he's getting out of this. Where's that gif of Raven calling people marks when you need it? He said it himself, he's not a journalist. If I were Khan, I simply wouldn't interact with Ariel again. Although I wouldn't stop wrestlers from doing his show if they wanted to, I'd make sure they're aware they're not talking to a journalist first. Ariel obviously has a large ego and is definitely enjoying this beef with TK. But whatever his motivations - I doubt fame is one of them. The guy has hundreds of thousands more followers than anyone in AEW outside of Jericho and Bryan. He's not enjoying a weekend on the Island of Relevency here.

So I think, I think, that TK was trying to highlight how much of a WWE shill Ariel is, so he compared him to Tony Schiavone, who is like the epitomy of a company man and AEW's top in house correspondent. So TK was trying to say 'you're about as impartial as my own biggest interviewer'. Again I think that's what he was going for. But who knows with this guy

f*** it I hope Helwani just goes full fledged heel at this point. Reveals that he was actually who cut the brakes on MJF's car at prom night Going full Heelwani on his show is fun sometimes, admittedly. (Like when he eviscerates Brendan Schaub)
