I need someone who doesn't care about partial spoilers who I can bounce a few things off of. I have a general plan, but it feels a bit unwieldy, so a second opinion would be appreciated. I'll be glad to help if I can. I'll PM you in a bit, once I get it sorted out on my screen what I'm going for.

So, I have actually gone ahead in the timeline and written some stuff for 2020 and 2021. Far from being everything, this covers a particular development that I finally have fleshed out enough to know what's happening. I plan on getting back to this, beginning with ROH's Final Battle go-home show, possibly over the weekend.

Ring of Honor Wrestling, December 10th, 2019 Ian Riccaboni and Taz welcome us to another episode of Ring of Honor Wrestling, as we are just five days away from Final Battle, this Saturday night on pay-per-view! Last week’s episode ended with RUSH walking out on his brother, Dragon Lee, during their match with the Young Bucks, leading to the number one contenders for the ROH Tag Team Championship getting the win. Ian throws to a backstage interview, as Alex Marvez catches up with RUSH as he comes backstage last week. Marvez questions why RUSH walked out on his brother. RUSH doesn’t answer and keeps walking. Shortly after, Marvez is waiting when Dragon Lee gets to the back. Marvez question’s Lee about being abandoned. Lee speaks mostly in Spanish, but gets across that he doesn’t know what his brother is thinking. But he can’t worry about RUSH right now, because Saturday night, he has Adam Cole for the ROH World Championship. Lee promises to give it his all at Final Battle.
Back in the arena, the opening contest sees ROH Women of Honor Champion Mercedes Martinez taking on Marti Belle. The Allure watch from the back as Belle takes the fight to the Champion, looking to earn herself a future title shot and possibly a full-time contract. Belle gets a number of nearfalls, before Martinez rallies and gets the win. After the match, The Allure come to ringside as Martinez and Brandi Lauren have a staredown ahead of their match at Final Battle.
“WHO ARE YOU?!” “WE ARE ONE!” It’s time for another Dark Order vignette. One of the recruits is pulled aside by Evil Uno, who tells him that the Exalted One wants to meet with him. The recruit is ready, but Uno says they’ll meet on the Exalted One’s time. But in the meantime, The Exalted One wants to see him in action, so this Saturday on the Zero Hour Buy-In, he will take on Josh Woods in singles action. Third rule of Dark Order: Take, or be taken down…
Alisha Edwards is backstage with The Horror. She asks them about their title matches this Saturday. Brody King says he’s going to send Cobb back to New Japan empty-handed. Sami Callihan and Madman Fulton are ready to inflict some pain on the Young Bucks in the Ladder War. Joe Doering then says that he’s feeling a little left out and wants a match at Final Battle. He wants “that miserable bastard” PAC in the ring. He dares him to accept.
Kenny King waits in the ring as PAC makes his entrance. Ian and Taz speculate on whether or not PAC will accept the challenge from Doering for Final Battle. King and PAC have a good technical battle, with PAC keeping King on the run for much of the match. King gets a few hope spots in, but eventually gets locked in PAC’s version of the Rings of Saturn, the Brutalizer and has no choice but to tap. After the match, PAC grabs the mic and accepts Joe Doering’s challenge for this Saturday.
We go backstage one more time tonight, as Alex Marvez is with Aubrey Edwards. Acting on orders from Tony Khan, Aubrey has two more matches to announce for Final Battle: In Women of Honor action, Bea Priestley will take on Jordynne Grace, and there will be a three-way number one contenders tag team match between Best Friends, The Foundation, and Dark Order. Plus, a second match has been added for the Zero Hour Buy-In, as Dalton Castle and The Boys will face The Lifeblood.
This Friday on DARK, The SuperKlique will be in action! Also, Jordynne Grace takes on Kimber Lee, and Darby Allin faces Angelico. And the full card for Final Battle is as follows:
Final Battle – December 14th, 2019 ROH WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH – Adam Cole (c) vs. Dragon Lee

NWA Powerr, December 10th, 2019 – Quick Results Luster The Legend def. Sammy Guevara April Lee Mendez def. Santana Garrett Trevor Murdoch and The War Kings def. Bram and The Wolves - Two more matches were announced for Into The Fire: The Wolves vs. The War Kings vs. Caleb Konley and Jay Bradley vs. OVE; and Douglas Williams vs. Ricky Starks
NWA Impact Wrestling, December 11th, 2019 Coming out of last Saturday’s No Surrender PPV, tonight’s show opens with the Impact World Champion Austin Aries making his way to the ring. He boasts about defeating Kurt Angle clean in the middle of the ring, and how Angle’s not here tonight. “Angle’s not here because he’s embarrassed! He got schooled by the “Greatest Wrestler That Ever Lived”!” But even though Angle isn’t in the building, James Storm is. The crowd explodes as Storm confronts Aries, calling him “not bad” in the ring. Storm goes on to recap his and Aries’ history over the years, including Storm defeating Aries for the X Division Title, to Storm and Angle beating Roode and Aries last week. Storm says he wants a title shot. Aries hems and haws, before saying “maybe at the next PPV”, but Jeff Jarrett’s music hits, the first time we’ve seen Jeff on TNT since 2001, and his first Impact appearance since before Slammiversary. Jarrett taunts Aries and essentially goads him into facing Storm for the title next week. Josh Mathews, Matt Striker and Tony Schiavone excitedly shill the match for next week as we go to commercial.
Jeremy Borash is backstage with Jeff Jarrett, not for an interview, however. Borash instead wants to know what Jeff’s game is, when it comes to getting Aries to accept James Storm’s challenge? Jarrett insists that he’s on the level and is simply doing what’s right for Impact and it’s fans. Borash gives him a look, but Jarrett refuses to say anymore.
Tonight’s opening contest is Michael Bennett vs. Orange Cassidy in a Feast or Fired Qualifying Match. In the early going, Bennett is frustrated by Cassidy’s antics. Cassidy puts his hands in his pockets as the bell rings, then slips his way out of several Bennett holds and grabs. Eventually, Bennett takes control over Cassidy and has the match at hand, as Maria Kanellis cheers on her husband. But when Bennett gets too cocky and goes to the top rope, Cassidy is able to roll out of the way. Cassidy places one finger on Bennett, who kicks out. Bennett rolls to the outside, but Cassidy surprises him with a dive through the ropes! Back in the ring, Bennett takes over again, until Cassidy counters a slam attempt into the Slum Dog Millionaire. Both men are down, Bennett staggers up, but Cassidy lunges and connects with the Orange Punch and gets the win!
We go backstage where Melissa Santos is interviewing Impact X Division Champion Eli Drake. She asks Drake about what’s next for him, now that he’s defeated EC3 once again. He says that with his biggest rival defeated, he actually needs to consider his next move. He could use the title as a stepping stone, like EC3 was planning to. Or, he could continue to be the best damn X Division Champion in Impact history! He says that next week is the final Impact of 2019 and he wants end the year strong, so he is declaring an open challenge for his title, live next week in Corpus Christi!
The Butcher and The Blade, accompanied by The Bunny, make their way to the ring, where their opponents, Zicky Dice and Joe Hendry, are waiting. The match is an absolute squash, with The Butcher and The Blade obliterating their opponents, as a gleeful Bunny cheers them on from ringside. A Powerbomb from The Butcher to Dice ends the match in a victory for him and The Blade.
We get a video package to hype the recent issues between Samoa Joe and Low-Ki, and LAX. At No Surrender, their match never got started as the two teams brawled all over the building. As a result, Billy Corgan has announced that the two teams will meet next week in a Falls-Count-Anywhere match.
Up next, it’s time for our second Feast or Fired qualifying match, as The Decay, with Rosemary, face SCU’s Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian, with Scorpio Sky. SCU do their antics on the mic prior to the match, but The Decay interrupt them. Abyss and Crazzy Steve dominate the early part of the match, forcing Daniels and Kazarian to bail out. After regrouping, SCU start to take over, trapping Crazzy Steve in their corner of the ring. The two make quick tags and make sure to get all their comedic spots in, before a miscommunication gives Steve the opening he needs to tag in Abyss. Abyss runs through both members of SCU, before Scorpio Sky provides a distraction, allowing Kazarian to connect with a low-blow behind the referee’s back. Kaz hits a dropkick, then Daniels hits the BME to get the win and advance SCU to Feast or Fired.
Team Dixie are in their locker room. Rockstar Spud is fretting over EC3 not winning the X Division Championship at No Surrender. EC3 is non-plussed over it, praising Eli Drake as “a hell of a competitor and a deserving Champion.” Dixie Carter enters and EC3 asks “Aunt D” if “he” went for it. Dixie says it’s all set. Next week on Impact, EC3 will take on AJ Styles in a Feast or Fired Qualifying Match.
Jon Moxley enters through the crowd for out next match, as he is taking on Shawn Spears. Spears gets the early jump on Moxley, but it’s not long before Mox takes over. As Moxley is dissecting Spears, Brian Cage makes his way to ringside. Mox hits the Paradigm Shift, but then notices Cage. The momentary lapse of attention is enough for Spears to kick out, but Mox then hits a second Paradigm Shift to get the win. After the match, Cage enters the ring and he and Mox begin brawling. The coaches and referees are out quickly to separate them as we go to a commercial.
We come back to a pre-taped promo from Maxwell Jacob Friedman. He makes jokes at Jungle Boy’s expense and claims that he was the real winner at No Surrender. But as of now, he’s done with Jack Perry, so he wants a spot in the Feast or Fired Match. He knows there’s only a few spots left, but “I’m sure there’s someone we can cut, Billy...”
Next week on NWA Impact Wrestling: Austin Aries defends the Impact World Championship against James Storm; Eli Drake’s open challenge for the Impact X Division Championship; LAX battle Samoa Joe and Low-Ki in a Falls-Count-Anywhere Match; EC3 faces AJ Styles in a Feast or Fired Qualifying Match; and on NWA Powerr, it’s a special “Impact Takeover” edition! Garza Jr. takes on Marty Scurll, Samoa Joe and Low-Ki will be in action, Alexxiss Bliss faces Sienna, and The Motor City Machine Guns battle the Natural Nightmares!
It’s main event time, as Tessa Blanchard defends the Impact Women’s Championship against Dr. Britt Baker DMD. The two are pretty evenly matched from the beginning and battle back and forth for nearly fifteen minutes. Maria Kanellis and Michael Bennett soon make their way to ringside, already in a bad mood after Bennett’s loss earlier in the night. Bennett provides a distraction for the referee, as Maria grabs the Women’s Championship belt and slides into the ring. Maria waits for both women to rise, then measures her shot. She goes for Tessa, but she ducks and Maria levels Baker instead. Tessa grabs Maria and tosses her out of the ring, then pulls up Britt and hit’s the slingshot suplex to get the win and retain! As Tessa celebrates, Bennett has to hold Maria back as she wants to go after Blanchard. Impact goes off the air with Tessa holding the up the belt as Maria fumes at ringside.
Quick Results Orange Cassidy def. Michael Bennett to qualify for Feast or Fired The Butcher and The Blade def. Zicky Dice and Joe Hendry SCU def. The Decay to qualify for Feast or Fired Jon Moxley def. Shawn Spears Impact Women’s Champion Tessa Blanchard def. Dr. Britt Baker DMD to retain

- December 13th, 2019: The upcoming episode of Impact on December 18th is the final Impact of the year. As such, it is a stacked show, featuring an Impact World Championship match, an X Division open challenge, a Feast or Fired Qualifier and a Falls-Count-Anywhere grudge match. At least one more match is expected to be announced ahead of time. Impact is looking to compete against NXT, which airs it’s final live edition of 2019 on the same night. With both an NXT Championship and an NXT Women’s Championship match, Billy Corgan and Scott D’Amore knew they needed to play all their trump cards on the same night.
With only three spots left for January 15th’s Feast or Fired Match, this appears to be the final breakdown of qualifiers. This coming Wednesday, EC3 takes on AJ Styles. It’s also expected that a No Surrender rematch between Brian Cage and Jon Moxley will be announced for the January 1st episode. As for the final spot, we understand that the plan is a battle royal featuring the competitors who lost previous qualifiers. Maxwell Jacob Friedman hinted at wanting one of the spots, but the plan currently is to keep him preoccupied with Jack Perry at least through the next PPV.
Tessa Blanchard defeated Dr. Britt Baker on Impact to retain the Women’s Championship. As a result, she has beaten pretty much every viable challenger on the Impact side. It’s currently unknown if the plan is to bring in a new challenger from outside the NWA/Impact bubble, or if the rumor we reported last week about Maria Kanellis is correct.
Astute viewers may have noticed that there was no development with the Impact Tag Team Championship this week. That’s because Penta El Zero Miedo suffered a knee injury at No Surrender. He was kept off the show this week, while there are plans to reevaluate him in the week ahead. Hopefully the injury is not too serious.
Get used to seeing some of the wrestlers who have appeared as enhancement talent in recent weeks, as Jeff Jarrett announced several new signings to the NWA/Impact family this past week. Those new signings include Zicky Dice, Joe Hendry, Chris Bey, Chris Peaks, Louis Valle, and Santana Garrett. It’s expected that they will be working both Powerr and Impact for the time being, as Billy Corgan and company prepare to merge NWA and Impact under one banner in early 2020.

One of those rules is I can't change real life events such as a wrestler's death, someone tanking their career, or events that would otherwise alter the landscape. The pandemic certainly counts as that.

Into The Fire, December 14th, 2019 – Quick Results The Wolves def. The War Kings, Caleb Konley and Jay Bradley, and OVE Douglas Williams def. Ricky Starks Aaron Stevens def. NWA National Heavyweight Champion James Storm to win the titles April Lee Mendez def. Dr. Britt Baker DMD Willie Mack def. Mr. Anderson NWA World Tag Team Champions Le Sex Gods def. Reno S.C.U.M. to retain CM Punk def. Rob Van Dam NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Nick Aldis def. Trevor Murdoch to retain
Final Battle – December 14th, 2019 ZERO HOUR BUY-IN – Quick Results Dalton Castle and The Boys def. The Lifeblood Josh Woods def. Dark Order Recruit - After the match, Evil Uno ordered the other two recruits to beat down their friend, who was then unmasked as independent talent Nick Moretti. Josh Woods was then welcomed into the group by Evil Uno.
Ian Riccaboni and Taz welcome us to ROH Final Battle 2019! Tonight, The SuperKlique try to reclaim their hold on ROH, while The Horror look to keep their gold. And Dragon Lee will have to put aside his family issues with brother RUSH if he hopes to reach the promised land, the Ring of Honor World Championship. We are kicking off with the Ring of Honor Trios Championship, as PCO, Bandido and TJP defend against Kip Sabian, Jimmy Havoc and Sonny Kiss, Team SuperBad. The main focus of the match is on Sabian and Havoc isolating Bandido in their corner. PCO and TJP try to rally the crowd behind their partner, but to no avail, as Havoc and Sabian work over him. When Kiss tags in, she chooses to toy with Bandido, which allows the Luchador the opportunity to reach his corner. PCO tag’s in and cleans house on all three members of Team SuperBad. Finally, TJP tag’s in and locks Sabian in the TJP Lock to get the win. Afterwards, Sabian and Havoc walk out on Kiss, blaming her for the loss.
Bea Priestley and Jordynne Grace make their way to the ring for the next match. Grace uses her strength advantage to muscle Priestley down to the mat in the early going. Grace wears Priestley down with a seated bearhug, using the point of her chin to dig into Priestley’s shoulder. During the match, Priestley’s boyfriend, Will Ospreay, is shown in the front row, watching the match. As Priestley fights her way back into the match, Ospreay cheer’s her on, only for Grace to gain back the advantage. It’s at this point that Ospreay climbs over the barricade and enters the ringside area. Ian and Taz make it clear that Ospreay is only hear as a spectator and shouldn’t be near the ring. Referee Paul Turner is distracted, as is Grace, but Priestley takes advantage, pulling a pair of brass knuckles out of her tights and nailing Grace in the back of the head, to get the win. Afterwards, Priestley and Ospreay exit through the crowd, as everyone is confused about what has gone down.
A video airs for the impending debut of “The Native Beast” Nyla Rose.
Up next is AR Fox and Rich Swann taking on Private Party. After an initial flurry of offense by Private Party, Fox and Swann are able to isolate Marq Quen in their corner. Lots of double-team offense by Fox and Swann, as Quen looks down for the count several times. Finally, he manages to break free and lunge right at Issaiah Kassidy’s waiting hand and tag him in! Kassidy is a house of fire, leveling both Fox and Swann with dropkicks, then a dive to the outside. Silly String to Swann, but Fox breaks it up. Another Silly String attempt is countered by Swann into a roll-up and they get the win with a handful of tights. Fox and Swann celebrate in the aisle, as Private Party try to argue their case with referee Rick Knox, but to no avail.
The ROH World Television Championship is on the line next, as Brody King defends against Jeff Cobb. Ian and Taz point out that Jeff Cobb will face Lance Archer at WrestleKingdom 14 on January 4th, for the IWGP United States Championship. Cobb and King simply wail on each for the first several minutes of the match, with King getting the upper hand. On the outside, Cobb slaps the apron in frustration. King goes to dive through the ropes, but Cobb sidestep’s, causing King to somersault himself into the barricade. Cobb and King brawl on the outside, with King sending Cobb into the ringpost. Running splash by King, but Cobb moves and King eats all of it! Cobb rolls King back in the ring and covers, but only a two-count. Cobb signals for the Tour of the Islands, but King blocks it and then hits a crossbody off the ropes for another nearfall. Cobb gets King in the corner and goes up for ten punches, only for King to counter into the Gonzo Bomb to get the win! After the match, the two begrudgingly shake hands.
We then get a vignette hyping The Rascalz (Trey Miguel, Zachary Wentz and Dezmond Xavier), who want the Trios Championship.
Up next is the three-way Number One Contenders match for a shot at the ROH World Tag Team Championship. Dark Order are out first, accompanied by Josh Woods. Out next is The Foundation. Jonathan Gresham grabs a mic before the match and warns Will Ospreay about messing with his wife. Finally, Best Friends are out and the match is on. A lot of frenetic action in the opening minutes, as all three teams fight for the advantage. It’s The Foundation who manage to isolate Chuck Taylor in their corner. Gresham and Lethal trade off with Uno and Grayson in working over Chuck, but come to blows when it’s time to go for the pin. Chuck is able to make the tag to Trent, while Grayson forcibly tags himself in over Lethal. Grayson goes for a brainbuster, but Trent battles back and hits the Strong Zero to get the win! Afterwards, Uno, Grayson and Woods attack Trent and Chuck, but Colt Cabana makes the save! Best Friends and Colt then embrace in the middle of the ring (because you’ve GOT to give the people what they want!).
ROH Women of Honor Champion Mercedes Martinez is now set to defend the title against The Allure’s Brandi Lauren. Lauren tries to get the upperhand in the early going with a sneak attack, but Martinez is ready for it and sends Lauren into the corner, then nails a running clothesline. Martinez stays on Lauren, overwhelming her challenger with an offensive onslaught. Mandy Leon tries to help by distracting the referee, which allows Lauren to take control, albeit not for long. It’s not long before Martinez gets Lauren in the Butterfly Lock to retain her title.
Joe Doering and PAC go one-on-one in our next match. This one is a fight, as the two pay no regard to referee Todd Sinclair and his warnings. Closed fists and liberal brawling around the ringside area is the order of the day in this one. PAC gets a nearfall after hitting a Black Arrow, but Doering fights back and hits the Death Valley Driver, but PAC gets his shoulder up at the last second. PAC locks in the Brutalizer, but Doering powers his way to the ropes and breaks the hold. Doering eventually catches PAC in a backbreaker. PAC struggles to hold on, but finally passes out, as Sinclair awards the match to Doering.
The penultimate match of the evening is the Ladder War for the ROH World Tag Team Championship. Sami Callihan and Madman Fulton are out first, followed by the challengers, The Young Bucks. The Bucks employ creative offense using the ladders for assistance, while The Horror use the less creative, but equally offensive strategy of throwing the ladders at The Bucks. The Bucks manage to hit More Bang For Your Buck on Fulton off the ladder, but Callihan saves the titles for his team. Eventually, Callihan hits the Cradle Killer on Nick Jackson, while Fulton climbs the ladder and retrieves the belts. The Horror celebrate, but it’s short-lived, as The Briscoes run in and lay out the Champions! Jay grabs the mic and says the warned everyone they were coming for the gold. They hit the Doomsday Device on Fulton, then the Redneck Boogie on Callihan, then hold up the belts.
Before the main event, Alex Marvez catches up with Tony Khan backstage. Tony tells Alex he has big news, starting on January 7th, Ring of Honor Wrestling will broadcast for two hours on AXS TV! Khan hypes all the talent who will get to be showcased with two hours and announces more surprises for 2020!
Finally, it’s time for the main event, as Dragon Lee challenges Adam Cole for the ROH World Championship. Both men go all out in this one, with back and forth chain wrestling and plenty of high spots. As the match nears it’s crescendo, after 25 minutes, it turns into a series of spots. Cole hits the Panama Sunrise, but Lee kicks out. Lee hits a bicycle knee strike, then a German Suplex, but kick out by Cole. Florida Keys by Cole, kick out. Lee hits the Dragon Driver, Cole kicks out Cole measures Lee for the Last Shot, but Lee ducks, then hits the Desnucadora to win the title! Lee falls to his knees as confetti rains down on the ring. RUSH makes his way down the aisle, in a suit. He grabs the belt from his brother and looks at it, before strapping it around Lee’s waist! The two embrace and RUSH raises Lee’s hand. Cole, looking exhausted, extends a hand, which Lee takes. Cole exits the ring… as RUSH Spear’s his brother! The crowd showers RUSH with boos as he looks down at Lee, his expression unreadable. Even Cole looks surprised by this turn of events, but keeps walking to the back. The show goes off the air with RUSH soaking in the crowd’s boos as Lee lays on the mat, writhing in pain.
Quick Results ROH Trios Champions PCO, Bandido and TJP def. Team SuperBad to retain Bea Priestley def. Jordynne Grace AR Fox and Rich Swann def. Dark Order and The Foundation to become the number one contenders for the ROH World Tag Team Championship ROH Women of Honor Champion Mercedes Martinez def. Brandi Lauren to retain Joe Doering def. Did I play a lot of cards in one hand? Absolutely. Do I have more cards in the deck? You better f***ing believe it! The fact you just booked Into the Fire. In memory of when NWA was awesome pre-covid But yeah, CM Punk v RVD, even in 2019 is a match I'd watch for certain. And of course, you had my girl Mercedes Martinez win to retain her Women of Honor title so you get bonus points for that

- December 15th, 2019: Final Battle was a landmark show for ROH, featuring both a major title change and the announcement of Ring of Honor Wrestling being given a second hour on Tuesday nights. With the second hour, it’s believed that Tony Khan will be focusing less on an anything-can-happen vibe and more on building up the talent and the storylines.
- Last week on Ring of Honor Wrestling, Evil Uno mentioned “The Exalted One”, the first time anyone but Uno had been hinted at as the group’s leader. Speculation has run rampant over who it could be. Josh Woods was a candidate, but instead, he has joined the group separately. It’s possible that it could be a new debut, as well.
- The Briscoes returned to ROH at Final Battle and made their intentions to challenge Sami Callihan and Madman Fulton clear. Earlier in the night, Best Friends won the number one contendership in a three-way match. There is speculation that Best Friends could win the titles, or be used to transition the belts without beating The Horror. Trent and Chuck’s stock has certainly risen since the gauntlet match prior to Full Gear, but it’s up to ROH to capitalize while they’re still hot.
- Nyla Rose was finally mentioned on ROH programming, after being signed for months. Tony Khan has reportedly been waiting for the right opportunity to showcase her before following through with debuting her. With ROH now having two hours to broadcast, it seems that this is the right time.
- NWA Into The Fire also took place on Saturday, with it’s last hour going head to head with the first hour of Final Battle. While the show was relatively uneventful, James Storm did drop the NWA National Heavyweight Championship to Aaron Stevens. With Storm set to challenge for the NWA World Championship this Wednesday, it’s expected he will be spending more time exclusively working for Impact going forward. There is one more NWA-exclusive PPV planned, that being Hard Times on January 24th. That show is expected to feature more crossover with Impact, as the merger grows ever closer.
