Just reading through a tweet thread from @bahufmw detailing Hakushi’s time in WWF between 95-96. He sent it into a Japanese magazine so it was mostly kayfabe but it appears there is some truth sprinkled in as he knew nobody in WWF would find out. twitter.com/bahufmw/status/1579628681328459777?s=61&t=CdcGXVFYw29sADS2RU47EAInteresting read. He seemed so down on himself but from what I remember he was doing great work.

Interesting stuff. Seems like he was really hard on himself. Adam Bomb getting a speeding ticket while riding with him made me laugh. What a strange riding duo. Also interesting saying it was a dream to team with Yoko. Did he not realize that he wasn't really Japanese?

Besides, maybe he saw it as something that'd likely have him working big names more often if he was paired with him, give Yoko's standing in the company.

Damn, even he thought WrestleMania 11 was bad.

Shinzaki is his own harshest critic, but I understand his fear with running out of stamina during matches, and it seems like he was going through a lot of struggles mentally and physically.

Hakushi was a great talent. He was probably 5-10 years too early in terms of his talent and the talent coming to WWF/E without the silly gimmicks. I think he was getting a pretty decent push for the time but once they put him with Barry Horowitz it was over. After the initial "Horowitz wins" shock, he was back to jobbing and took Hakushi down with him. One of his last televised matches was sadly a total loss to Bradshaw where he was branded. Actually not sure now if his last match was a tag title tournament match.

Nervousness kills your stamina in any kind of combat sport. I can't imagine how it must be with full fledged anxiety.

He was great but Vince didn't really know how to use him and sticking him with Barry Horowitz seemed like a big diss

They explained his departure by saying that he was so embarrassed by getting branded that he went back to Japan. I didn't think he was in the Tag Tournament but looking it up it turns out he was as him and Horowitz lost in the first round to Owen and Bulldog.

His matches with Bret were legendary. Had an overlooked little gem with the 123 Kid at Summerslam 95 as well.

This is fantastic, great to hear how such a great worker was actually feeling in 1995 without the aid of social media (which is basically our diary these days)
