The release references they did it before for the NOAH crossover, so as you can imagine, people are speculating this to be stuff with AEW, Stardom, etc.
You could also keep NOAH in mind again as the Muta/Sting show is the next day.

Yeah, some are speculating it being for Keiji Muto's last NJPW match (remember that Muto and Muta are considered two different entities in Japanese pro wrestling), which could sell the show by itself if it's a hype tag match or something.

It’s a Saturday night, so that leaves a lot of room to fill the card up with talent from basically anywhere. We’ll see what we ultimately get, but I was pleasantly surprised with the NOAH crossover event last year, and Mutoh is obviously counting down.

My prediction is a big crossover show with a ton of other promotions with the main event being as follows:
IWGP World Heavyweight Championship singles match: Champion Kazuchika Okada versus challenger Keiji Mutoh.

TakaTaichiMania PPV on December 19th will cost about $20.30
Matches thus far for it are Shingo vs Taichi for The KOPW Trophy with the voting stipulations being a Lumberjack Texas Death Match or Iron Man Count Match, and Hiromu Takahashi vs Taka Michinoku in an Hiromu Roll match.

Taichi's stipulation won the vote so it'll be a Ironman Count match, where any count; pin, ringout, rope break count in a total and whoever has the most at the end of 30 minutes wins.
Edit: Turns out I was wrong as voting hadn't been finished, Takagi's stipulation won the poll so it will be a Lumberjack Texas Deathmatch.

If Anderson retains next week, Wrestle Kingdom could be featuring talent from New Japan, AEW, WWE and Stardom.

I imagine he's not retaining, but it'd admittedly be a curious development if he did defend at WK. Like, I really don't think it's happening, but it'd be interesting.
If Hikuleo wins it, as an aside, I thiiink that'd be the only time two siblings had won a singles title in NJPW, but I could of course be incorrect.

From PW Insider:
Mercedes Varnado aka WWE's Sasha Banks is expected to be at New Japan Pro Wrestling's Wrestle Kingdom 17 event next month, according to several sources close to the situation.
While it is unknown whether Varnado will be appearing before the live crowd, we are told that NJPW is bringing Varnado in for the event.

Hi next challenger to KAIRI's title because no way they bring her in and not use her on air. I cannot remember if she is still contracted to WWE and just was negotiating new terms or what but if she is , then one would have to believe HHH allows NJPW to utilize Sasha , then KAIRI is surely getting her wish to defend the IWGP womens title in WWE.

Feel like I read the pre-HHH regime had basically given her whatever she wanted to move past the situation, and it now sounds like she's driving a super hard bargain to come back under new management. Her showing up in NJPW would be a huge coup for the Japanese wrestling scene. Interesting to see what happens.

And they discovered that they can do other things outside of WWE. So I would not blame either of them if they played hardball now.

How would she feel about traveling to Japan on a monthly basis though?

Can't see that honestly, it looks likely Sasha is gone from WWE to me and she might work in Japan for a while with the potential AEW work to follow
