If she isn't then she is kissing a different woman on Instagram every week and more power to her Mercedes is with Vipress, an indie wrestler based out of the West Coast. Appeared on several AEW DARK shows

Good of her for taking acting classes, that was her weakest point aside from not being physically healthy when she was champ.

God, Sarita vs. Cheerleader Melissa in TNA was the (mainstream US TV) wrestling match that whacked me across the face and made me realize "Holy shit, THIS is what these companies could be doing with women's wrestling!", so I'd be down for that. Looking forward to Rosa's return; after working hurt like she was it'll be nice to see her hopefully at 100%, and with the angle brewing in the division it'd be interesting to see where she falls, since it's tough to imagine her siding with Britt in anything, unless they do a "you earned my respect" kind of thing.

That's a really good idea from Rosa. More wrestlers should do stuff like that when they're off injured. They might not be able to work on the in-ring technique but there's so much more to wrestling than that. Good for her.

I've been waffling on whether to post this for discussion here. It's a post about Rosa from a forum that does not have as many rules as this one does, and it's pretty vitriolic, even censored. But this forum has more knowledgeable people, so I'm wondering if someone can confirm/deny or has anything to add? Especially anyone who watches Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling (TJPW)?
I couldn't find the Rosa/Yamashita match on youtube, but looking at the dates on cagematch, the story checks out. Rosa was working TJPW in 2019, then came back in 2020 and almost immediately won their International Princess Title, and never defended it, with the belt getting vacated after 9 months or so. Then the match in TJPW against Yamashita happened in 2022.

^^^ I'd strongly doubt that post. Mostly because I don't know how you can interpret not being able to travel to Japan due to covid restrictions as refusing to drop a title.
They bought her back to face Miyu in tjpw which suggests there's no bad blood and that match was good, they faced each other again shortly after in aew which wasn't so good. Iirc there's been friendly twitter comments towards each other since so again doubt there's any issue.

Agreed... I really liked Thunder Rosa in everything she did but promos.

Thunder Rosa just announced that she's coming back to do Spanish commentary while she continues to recover from her injury. EDIT: Update with actual tweet.

Glad this thread is finally being bumped with a positive update for once but man that makes me wonder how rough the injury is if this many months in she's only now even starting the "keep you busy and on TV while you recover" step. The Spanish commentary table is not really the destination of someone who's being brought abck in to start setting programs up.

The Spanish commentary table is not really the destination of someone who's being brought abck in to start setting programs up. It's good to get her refreshed on public speaking, if nothing else. But yeah, I kind of got the impression that, in addition to the injury, she also had a lot of wear and tear from working a really hectic schedule, between her training women, wrestling for AEW, and her indie dates. I assume she was also training her teen son, though maybe someone else is in charge of that.

She openly admitted to wrestling while having bulging disks, I think she actively made her recovery time worse by trying to grind it out like she did

To be fair, she did a lot of Spanish commentary work even when she was an active wrestler.
But yeah, slipped discs are nothing to mess around with and I'm guessing, with her words about "health is a journey with ups and downs" that she had some sort of setback. I'm just glad she's able to travel regularly again. Hope that's a good sign her recovery is in the home stretch.

It could also be that the nature of the injury was such that traveling would make it worse. There are back injuries that can be aggravated by plane rides, and with how bad a shape she apparently got into, it's probably best to not even think about messing around with that.

Oh yeah I know she did commentary before, I just meant that that's a return spot that isn't going to be some gimmicky thing where across the span of three weeks they're setting up some heel causing fights with her to goad her up from the table for a feud. It's nice to see her coming back but it definitely sounds like she's a ways off from being able to return anywhere and that is a rough sign after so long.

When Rosa's cleared she'll have an easy in to a storyline too. She beat Toni, and then Toni became the official women's champion when she had to vacate. Toni and Saraya could attack her at the commentary booth and jumpstart her back in as one of the spearheads for AEW's women. It'd also be a big enemy of my enemy storyline stance with Baker, maybe even more than Ruby

Said before but I feel like some of us forget how hard she was working for a couple of years. There were points where she was doing NWA, indies and AEW shows on a consistent basis. She was doing the Kenny Omega run around the same time of the actual Kenny Omega run.

She was doing the Kenny Omega run around the same time of the actual Kenny Omega run. And with a fraction of his experience at doing so. She got over with people quickly for a reason, she's a bit of marvel outside of her humble beginnings, especially for being a mother who got started later.

Probably to have Rosa get along with Jamie and Britt in the professional way and not have Brawl Out 2.0 happening
