I’m fine with flushing the entirety of Snyderverse related things down the toilet. Bummed for the WW team that they don’t get to finish up on a creative level though.

Last WW movie wasn't great, but besides Aquaman, the first movie was the only part of the Snyderverse people generally liked more than they disliked. That's a big oof. 2nd movie was too f***ing long

I haven't heard anything about Aquaman 2, but in spite of Ezra Miller being a danger to themselves and others, Flash is getting really positive feedback from test screenings.

I'm pretty bummed about this, the first movie was so good.

Affleck and Cavill's fates are left "ambiguous at best" at the end of Flash, Barry is depowered, and Supergirl and Keaton are very much the prime heroes of that universe at the end of the movie.

I loved the first WW film but WW84 was so utterly terrible it killed my interest in not only any further Patty Jenkins WW films but any Patty Jenkins films going forward. Like just saying, for me personally, it is hard to come back from having Wonder Woman straight up rape a dude and pass it off as romantic. It’d have been one thing if it was Maxwell Lord’s doing, but it wasn’t. She had complete and total free will during the scene(the same could not be said for the guy whose body Steve hijacked). And then later tried to depict Cheetah fighting off dudes who were going to assault her as a bad thing? Nah. Nah. That’s your ass as a creative cooked to me.

I took that to mean her next chapter, post-WW, and that she already knew it was over, but no idea.

They could still use Gal as Wonder Woman (which I think they should), it's just not going to be in the Wonder Woman 3 that Patty Jenkins wrote and would presumably direct.
Also, they'd be incredibly stupid to cut Henry Cavill out as Superman after everything. People have been annoyed about him seemingly being cut out for ages, and are excited that it looks like he's back after all. He's one of the only things people seem excited about, tbh.

Paraphrasing Keith David in Dead Presidents: That's Hollywood for you. Money to burn.

Though if the rumours are accurate, and with today's news it seems they may be, Aquaman is being rebooted with a new cast and Momoa is going to be Lobo, so what does any of it matter?

I really hope that if they do a complete reboot of the universe that they keep some things, like Cavill as Superman deserves to be here. I wouldn't mind them incorporating the new Batman into the canon either
Black Adam flopping had to be the death nail tbh, I hope they keep the Shazaam actors around too though, that was another thing in DC that just felt like it worked
Curious if Suicide Squad would also survive and come back, he loves Cena as Peacemaker, Margot Robbie seems irreplaceable as Harley too. Just give them good movies, they'll do the rest.

Somebody please give cavill a good superman movie. The man deserves it I'm at work with MOS on the TV. It's crazy that whenever I watch this, BVS, or Justice League, all I can think about is how they went out of their way to fumble such a wide open pass. I envy the friends I have that don't follow the behind the scenes stuff. We just can't get stuff right enough on the DC front to be comfortable for a year. And now we have the new news. The biggest hump we have is The Flash. We just gotta get that out of the way. I'm having a hard time trying to nail done any additional commentary because everything is being written with dry erase markers. Speaking of that, the one time my uncle's and cousins saw me draw was damn near twenty years ago at an uncle's wedding. While we were waiting to do rehearsal's I drew Batman on a dry erase board using a blue and the black marker. When I started I could hear them talking behind me, after it was obvious who I was drawing, everybody stopped to watch. That was cool. Gotta know when to keep things simple.

The DCEU desperately needs clearing up and SOME straight-line creative direction, but I'm also pretty sad there won't be a WW 3. And that there's nothing in place for Cavill still.
As much of a damp squib as WW 84 was to me, the first Wonder Woman was a very good film. Well, okay, at least 3/4ths of it was very good. And still remained my favourite so far in this franchise.
So much wasted time and effort though, to try to reach the point the MCU got to around 2010 or so. They need to get that bedrock in place if they want to do shared universe, or just go with and accept just making random superhero movies and ease back in trying to crossovers and world building they just can't handle right now.

First Wonder Woman and Shazam were great, The Suicide Squad was pretty good, but I'm perfectly fine with just wiping the slate clean. The stink of the Snyderverse is still on everything kind of dragging it down, like I know Cavill's a great actor who could be a great Superman but he just has too much baggage in that role for me to want to see any more of him at this point.

I'll be honest the optics of that doesn't look good. And its gonna lead to some chuds claiming victory over "woke" movies. Like this kind of dampens my excitement for Gunn

I just don't get why they don't get the formula:
- Make a good Superman movie - Make a good Batman movie - Make a good Wonder Woman movie (to be fair, I really liked the first one) - Make elseworlds stuff like Joker that got celebrated - Bring Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman together and supplement with other characters in Justice League
They tried to speed run it and it didn't work. I think Gunn will get it right now, but we'll see.
