Bradley Cooper now has NINE Oscar nominations under his belt, 4 for Acting, 4 for Producing and one for Writing (It really should be ten, but he got snubbed for Directing A Star is Born, otherwise known as getting Afflecked)
At this point, barring a terrible tragedy, he will get one eventually, but how do we think he’s getting it?

He doesn’t strike me as someone who will eventually get one. There’s no Roger Deakins or DiCaprio feel about him in that it’s just a matter of when rather than if.

I think he’ll be a career nominee, and then get one of those honorary lifetime achievement Oscars.

If there's any justice, something with Rocket Raccoon.

It’ll be a producing award for a movie he doesn’t have any creative input in.
He’s gonna hate it.

I watched the Oscars the year Deakins finally won with a friend who isn’t a total movie nerd like me and I feel like my reaction to a man winning best cinematography was something he thinks about to this day. I don’t think I’ve ever been happier with anything I’ve accomplished myself. I ranted for ten minutes about how Assassination of Jesse James and No Country for Old Men might be the two best shot movies ever and they were nominated the same year and split his own vote. And how Skyfall looked so beautiful and every Bond movie not looking like it is a detriment to them now. Spectre isn’t a good movie on its own…but following the way Skyfall was filmed? It looks like it was shot in a suitcase. anyway… I love Roger Deakins.

I had nothing against DiCaprio but I thought there were people who if there was an injustice in their not winning yet, were far better examples of it. (Peter O’Toole being another on the list).

I can easily see him having the same story as Ben Affleck, where he wins for Best Screenplay or Best Picture, but never wins one for Best Director or Best Actor.

Today I learned that not only is he British, but was born in the exact same hospital that I was born in, raised less than ten miles from where I've lived most of my life, and went to school at my school's closest sporting rival.

You’re a Torbay lad then? Spent plenty of time in south Devon on summer holidays when I was young!
