No way I can get anyone to go with me (I live in another country - on the other coast!) But the RR is THEE event for me, I really wanna go! Am I reading that correctly? You're flying from another country for two upcoming events and aren't sure if you should add the rumble? What a good dilemma to have! If you say can't get anyone to join you for RR I assume you're meeting people for the other two? If so maybe skip the rumble this year and wait to see how the other two shows go and then you'll have more of an idea if you'd enjoy it alone in 2024? I'm happy to travel and go to local wrestling shows solo, I think amongst that many people in a hot crowd it will fine. It's not like a sparsely populated Raw in Corpus Christi. Elimination Chamber is in my home town. Going to that with some friends. Travelling to California for two weeks with the last few days being WM days. That trip is with my big brother. Royal Rumble is my absolute favourite but ain’t no one interested in San Antonio around me, soooo yeah

I go to a ton of stuff by myself. It's fine! Depending on the row you're in, sometimes you end up making friends with people and chatting about wrestling anyway. Don't feel self-conscious or anything, it's what you make it. Like somebody said, Rumble should have a talkative crowd, too.

If you want to go, go. I've gone to several sporting events alone. Never bothers me.

Yeah for sure, there’s always someone to talk to in our nieche fandom. You won’t be the only loner there.

I go to movies, concerts, and small indy wrestling shows alone.
I’ve never been to a WWE event alone. It just depends on my interest at the time.
But if it was the rumble? absolutely.

I’ve been to indie shows alone plenty of times, but I think that’s easier because they’re all GA, and I don’t like people anyways
Feel like being seated for that time would be more difficult, especially if they were on each side, but it’s all about how comfortable you feel.
You’re cool with it, go ahead. Shouldn’t miss out on an experience because no one else wants to come along.

People have more regrets about the things they didn't do than about the things they did do.
I understand people are a little uncomfortable going on trips/to events alone. But imagine you're watching a great event on TV and saying "Man, I wish I was there." You can be. Also, you don't feel weird sitting at home watching an event alone. You're watching the same event, just with a way better seat.
Also, single seats are way less expensive because they're harder to sell. Get yourself a good, reasonably priced seat like the rest of us wish we could and enjoy yourself.

Im going to Elimination Chamber in Feb and Wrestlemania in April, but the Royal Rumble is THE event for me. Have any of you ever gone to a rest king event alone? Would you suggest it? Would you advise against it? Any tips to make it better, things to avoid? Hit me up.

I've gone to Wrestling events including WrestleMania 33 by myself and honestly yeah it is a great time when you are alone. One of the best things about it is that you feel like you can do whatever you want without possibly being handcuff (metaphorically speaking) to other people or what they want to do. There is just a nice sense of freedom that comes with going by yourself.

Do it don't be a pansy.
I mean seriously. I've been to theme parks, concerts, movies and other events by myself, and I had great time so f*** there is nothing wrong with going to event by yourself
There is nothing wrong with doing a sad bastard solo.

If this is something you really want to do, you shouldn't talk yourself out of it for arbitrary reasons.

You're in a building full of wrestling fans. You're not alone.
I went to the Twin Peaks fan festival in 2019 by myself, and loved being in the presence of like minded people. Within hours I had joined a group that had been doing it for years, and they heartily embraced me.
Talk to the people around you, and enjoy the show with them.

Not wrestling, but I’ve gone to gigs on my own and had a good time, sometimes making friends while I’m there. Go, you’ll be fine.

Not to get off topic but man going to a Twin Peaks festival would be so cool and I'm jealous lol. But that's actually one of the things I like about going to wrestling events like wrestlemania When you get sit next to someone there's kind of a cool rapport you have with the person that's there for those couple of hours. You'll never see or hear that person again after the show but for those couple hours you are there's just a cool bond going on.
Guys (and possibly gals), I’m doing it! I’m going to the Royal Rumble! Totally unrelated - imma be opening a go fund Me to help live out my childhood dream of going to the Alamo
Lol awesome though man. It is definitely worth it and I bet it will be a good show (certainly probably going to be better than this year's Royal Rumble). Now you can basically plan out the whole thing on your own time. Like I said the fact you basically get carte blanche to make your own schedule is one of the coolest parts about going alone.

How long should I stay in San Antonio ? Is it worth staying a couple of days, or is a simple in-and-out a better option?
Plan as it stands is to fly in on Thursday - and leave Monday. The PPV is on Saturday.

I used to live in San Antonio and very much enjoyed that, only leaving due to family commitments, and there are a lot of tourist things to do, but it's really going to depend on what you're interested in.
