What are some of the best ways a slasher villain met their demise (even if temporary until the next sequel)? It wasnt his ACTUAL death in the film (or in the franchise for that matter), but I always liked Andy destroying Chucky, complete with a Bond one-liner: www.youtube.com/watch?v=EOhowqdGdgU

The movie as a whole was god-awful but Jason getting utterly wiped out by the FBI at the beginning of Jason Goes to Hell was pretty incredible.

I loved the "end" of IT where all the adults basically ganged up, said "f#$# fear" and ripped Pennywise's goddamn heart out.

The killer getting his head exploded by a shotgun at the end of "The Prowler" is an absolute masterwork of visual effects

Stu getting a TV smashed onto his head. Bret and Owen had to teach him a lesson.

Freddy's had some good defeats, most notably from the 4th and 6th films.

Freddy's had some good defeats, most notably from the 4th and 6th films. Came in to mention 4. All his souls rebelling and tearing him apart literally seemed like such a definitive end.

Jason's death in part 4.
Gory and glorious practical effects.

All of Chucky's defeats in Child's Play 1-3 are pretty amazing. Charred to a crisp then shot through the har, a high-pressure air hose in his mouth exploding him all over a Good Guy doll factory, and falling into an industrial-sized fan and getting chopped to bits in the middle of a carnival.
Really, you can't ask for more.

Not technically a slasher movie but Frank Cotton getting his comeuppance at the end of Hellraiser is right up there

Though the movie sucked, seeing Myers get gunned down by a dozen people in 4 was pretty awesome.

Laurie beheading Michael in Halloween H20 was a perfect ending.
And then Resurrection happened.

Laurie beheading Michael in Halloween H20 was a perfect ending. And then Resurrection happened. I was coming here to say this - I think it's the best slasher flick ending of all time, tbh. Rest of the movie is hit or miss, but that's a moment.

I'm probably going to get heat for this, but Jason's death in Jason X when he gets burned up upon reentry onto the second Earth, it weirdly felt appropriate due to how over the top invincible Jason got in the later movies.
