It’s like, in a vacuum, I would agree that the ROH stuff is being overdone. But ROH really just feels like part of AEW to me That complaint is akin to complaining about there being too much RAW influence on SmackDown during a brand split or something, to me. But that is exactly it. If I may recall an old argument from the WWE brand split days If they are the same show, why even have the brand split? Instead we just have a load more titles and talent around

This is essentially supposed to be WCW on Smackdown not as simple as what you describe...ROH has such a storied history to be just filler spots on an AEW show and that is why it is so difficult for ROH fans and even AEW fans because it's halting progress of both. I completely understand why some people are turned off by it. It just doesn’t bother me, personally. I think maybe because I’m not a longtime fan of ROH. It just feels like part of the AEW show to me. I get ya but yeah this is so much closer in spirit to the failed WWE/WCW Alliance/Invasion than it is to the brand split which is the apparent goal

Instead we just have a load more titles and talent around Because they're not going to be the same show for much longer, it seems, and they figured (whether one agrees with this or not is their own business, of course) it'd be better to have the titles around to keep them in people's minds ahead of ROH getting its own show, which apparently will begin early 2023. In the meantime we've gotten matches like Joe/Suzuki and Garcia/Yuta out of it on AEW cards, so it's all good, to me, but again I get the desire to not have title scenes feeling so cluttered and to have some talent spread out more given how big the roster is at this stage.

A few days late for this but I have to shout out how much I loved Christian on commentary being like "MY GUY LUCHASAURUS RULES, YOU'VE GOTTA HAVE EYES ON THE BACK OF YOUR HEAD" then a few minutes later Luchasaurus completely fails to do that when Jungle Boy snuck up on him from the tunnel like MMMM THAT'S GOOD FORESHADOWING

I feel like Steiner.
Joe looked so big in that match. He could still go well enough, but he looked bigger than usual and looked like he was feeling it too.
As for the ROH discussion, I'd prefer it was it's own thing, but as it cannot be at the moment, at least they are trying to keep it relevant.
