Is now my favourite thing in all wrestling. I will be devastated if this ever leads to a heel turn by Billy, currently this is amazing and so fun

Billy Gunn's renaissance is one of the true feelgood moments in an otherwise very messy year

Dude is one of the best parts of AEW right now and the segment with The Acclaimed on Dynamite was one of the best all year.
When the ass is embraced, magic happens.

Billy's having a blast every week and it's just so heartwarming. I wonder how many kids have gotten in trouble for yelling, "SCISSOR ME DADDY ASS!" on the school playground.

My friends and I got in trouble so many times for crotch-chopping in school that it truly is heartwarming to think of the same happening for kids “scissoring” and yelling “daddy ass”. Only in wrestling.

There is no way 'scissoring' and 'daddy ass' should feel wholesome, yet somehow it's the most wholesome thing in wrestling. The Acclaimed and Billy have done a great job of walking the line of the obvious sexual references while also making it really sweet. It's just handshakes and a found family after all!

Just randomly got over, and in a way that you cannot help but get caught up in.
Re-energised Billy's entire career and gave The Acclaimed the hook they needed to level out as a great act.
Hope it keeps going and doesnt just turn in to Billy turning on them for his sons.

Not really a fan of the action (just too silly even for Billy in 2022 and I don't want to have to explain to my kids why) but I will defend their right to do it...
It is one thing that is genuinely AEW and I love that they are starting to create their own identity that is unmistakenly theirs

This really highlights the difference between Tony and Vince.
Vince was unable to make AJ Styles a star, a man who pretty much had already been one for a decade prior to joining WWE.
Tony took a semi-retired relic from the Attitude Era pushing 60, and by hooking him up to the right act, made him the most over he has ever been since '99.

I'm just glad Tony decided to bring Billy Gun back with the Acclaimed. It would been an absolute mistake to keep then with the Ass Boys.

I literally stopped watching WWE years ago and think AJ is a homophobic asshole but this is just flagrantly incorrect AJ was treated better by WWE than basically any indie star signed since the 80s

YMMV I guess. I suppose I was just thinking AJ was not given the star treatment he could have been. I thought he was mostly just being used as a popular guy to put over younger up and commers, while remaining below guys like Rollins, and Reigns on the totem pole.

Being below their two golden geese is very different to not being a star. He skipped developmental and was put in the Rumble against Roman in moment one. They keep hiring his goon friends to make him happy. He worked Brock Lesnar, and Cena. He was multiple time champion already. I genuinely don't know what you think he has missed out on unless only Mania main eventers qualify as stars in your book?

AJ Styles practically got hotshot to the WWE Championship and was presented like a star from the getgo. Yeah, he wasn't going to get "The Guy" Roman Reigns treatment. But he's been treated really well. FFS he had a year-long WWE Championship reign.
He's also one of the only non-big name WCW/ECW guys (if not THE only guy) since the Attitude Era who made his official debut in the Royal Rumble. Didn't even sniff NXT.

They've done great capitalising on their success.
Their tag title reign seems like the first tag title reign since the Bucks' first one that really means something too. It's amazing what giving your tag champs the spotlight every week out in the ring and not just having them appear in 30 second backstage segments when not wrestling (see; Lucha Bros, Jurassic Express, SioG tag title reigns) does for the titles.
