Shoutout to Billy Gunn for popping ratings in limited time 25 years apart.

Overall numbers are up compared to last year during this week, and last year the World Series wasn't going on, let alone a no-hitter. That said, demo numbers are down from last year, but that could also just be demo numbers getting lower across the board as more and more of you whippersnappers cut the cord. Last year the numbers started going down around this time because of the switch to Dynamite airing live on the West Coast (which also began happening immediately after they were preempted for a few weeks by hockey). Prior to that switch they were getting over a million fairly consistently. Yeah I was in California for a week last week for work (originally around the IL/IN area) and I cannot imagine watching AEW or Football at 5/6 freakin PM. I was interested to see that Raw still came on at the same time just on an obvious tape delay/replay.

I mean, at least it shows they were wise to try and frontload the first hour.

I know Billy Gunn is involved, but it's pretty damn cool to see homegrown talents like The Acclaimed pop ratings like this
They've honestly been helping shoulder AEW since The Elite had to take their break

MJF is an interesting case because I feel he was more established than most by the time he started on AEW...He was well into his gimmick just not as refined. I completely feel that the other Evolve/MLW guys like Darby are homegrown just a bit different with MJF who feels more like a guy who has already paid his dues.

Yeah, I didn’t even hone in on the “homegrown” part. I see MJF and Darby as “AEW homegrown” even though on a literal sense they’re not. Acclaimed absolutely is.

There's barely any true homegrown guys in the sense that AEW doesn't really have a development system in place besides anyone coming directly from schools owned by AEW folks like QT, Dustin, Rosa, Shawn Spears, etc.
Acclaimed is a homegrown team though since Bowens and Caster were literally put together by Khan. But Caster himself is a Create-A-Pro product like Kris Statlander, MJF, and Mark Sterling. Not sure where Bowens trained.

I think Bowens mentioned he was in pat bucks create a pro school, not Myers school on long island which I recall reading is in new jersey

Jericho is ratings poison He's been in some of AEWs highest rated segments. It's why he had the Demo God nickname for a while.

Jericho is ratings poison If we’re actually measuring these things, their world champ lost them 123,000 viewers.

Jericho is ratings poison Definitely not. Him and Mox are the needle movers (in a positive way).

Jericho segments have lost viewers repeatedly recently haven’t they?
Mox was facing Lee Moriarity. No offense to the guy, but no one bought him winning and fans had little reason to care about him.

His main event with Danielson did very well despite most main events losing viewers. So he has done well at times too.
