Recently, I had remembered the wrestler Jeff Farmer in WCW when he was the NWO Sting and the Cobra. I had heard of a wrestler named "Jumpin'" Jeff Farmer, who I had heard was a different guy. Finding pictures of that guy confirmed it as he looked nothing like the Jeff Farmer from WCW (especially around the jawline). However, I also remembered that there is Matt Striker (from WWE and also was in Lucha Underground) and there is also a Matt Stryker, who was mostly on the indie scene from the late-1990s to the mid-2000s. Funny thing is that I remember seeing a picture of both guys on Online World of Wrestling back in the mid-2000s. The picture is still there and here it is: What other examples are there? I remember Nailz went by Kevin Kelly, but I know he wasn't the same Kevin Kelly from the WWF in the late-1990s to early-2000s, who was an announcer.

Getting the Vincent/Vince - Dusty/Virgil stuff out of the way first by mentioning them since they were intentional. Michael Shane was an attempted allusion to his relationship to Shawn I always felt.

Biff Wellington, Chris Benoit's original tag partner in Stampede, is not the same person as Beef Wellington, Master of the Ass Punch.

When WWE was fighting the concussion lawsuit, I remember some folks here saying that Victoria (Lisa Varon) had heat with the company because she was on the list of plaintiffs.
Not quite. That was Princess Victoria, a wrestler from the ‘80s.

As well as “The Hammer” there was a UK wrestler called Greg Valentine. There was also an American wrestler called Steve Regal.

Pre internet I was always trying to figure out if the AWA guy was the WCW guy. As a kid my grandfather used to talk about Gino Garibaldi. He didn't like wrestling but remembered him from when he did like it. I brought him a magazine with Gino in it, or a program from WWF and he told me it was Gino Carabello. I don't think I could read well yet.

Global has a fella named Chaz in the early 90s. Headbanger Mosh was repackaged as Chaz in 2000.
The former Chaz is the son of a fat guy with a beard named Tugboat Taylor. Not to be confused with clumsy fat guy with a beard: Uncle Fred the Shockmaster... who once wrestled as Tugboat Thomas.

There were multiple Manny Fernandezes: the mustached Raging Bull and a clean-shaven WCW jobber.

Getting the Vincent/Vince - Dusty/Virgil stuff out of the way first by mentioning them since they were intentional. Michael Shane was an attempted allusion to his relationship to Shawn I always felt. It absolutely was. The funniest part of that was he had to change it because one of the Shane Twins's name is Michael.

TNA had a guy called Murphy who's real name was Michael Cole. Not be confused with Buddy Murphy, who was often billed as just Murphy when teaming with (Wesley) Blake.

"Maniac" Mike Davis = not the same as WCW and WWF jobber Mike Davis.
There seems like there's a metric ton of Danny Davises (the WWF ref/wrestler, Nightmare Danny Davis, Dapper Danny Davis from GWF...)
Rico Suave...the AWF manager, think there was one in Colon's company, and the GWF wrestler.
There was a Sabu the Wildman in Memphis that wasn't Terry Brunk.
