Stevie Ray was once named Kane. Wasn’t there a UWF guy named Stevie ray? His name was Steve Ray.

Bret Hart to use the fake name Buddy The Heartthrob because there already a Brett Hart wrestling. It's hilarious to imagine Bret Hart's career with no changes except his name is Buddy the Heartthrob.

Put on the spot and I couldn't think of anything...lol.
You have the famous musician Jim Morrison. A semi-decent pro baseball player in the 70s and 80s Jim Morrison. And the wrestler John Morrison, where a light ticker at a WM referred to him as JIM Morrison.

It's a shame that Chyna's sidekick The Kat never danced with Ernest "The Cat" Miller. It woulda been the greatest!

Yep, with Hennigan using John Morrison as his wrestling name post-Johnny Nitro because he has a passing resemblance to Jim Morrison. My favorite of these is that there is of course Samoa Joe, but was also previously a Samoan Joe who wrestled. Additionally, Samoa Joe feuded for a time with Roman Reigns, who is a Samoan named Joe.

Steve Austin wrestled under his real name of Steve Williams very early in his career. This is a fun one Steve 'Steve Austin' Williams, who took his gimmick name from Steve Austin to not be confused with Steve 'Dr Death' Williams

There have been like 27 Super Ninjas and one Super Giant Ninja.

As well as “The Hammer” there was a UK wrestler called Greg Valentine. There was also an American wrestler called Steve Regal. I thought Giant Haystacks and Haystacks Calhoun were the same guy for years. These two posts are actually connected, because I believe Giant Haystacks was known briefly as Haystacks Calhoun early in his career. British promoters used to get magazines imported from America and steal names from them thinking that no one would ever find out, which is how you ended up with British versions of Haystacks Calhoun, Steve Regal and Greg Valentine, but also Skull Murphy, Blackjack Mulligan, and I'm sure a few others.
It went the other way at one point too, with Kazuo Sakurada working as Kendo Nagasaki in Memphis in the eighties.
