He has plenty of acting range whether he's being intense or comical:

He's got a watchability factor, is a natural heel and knows how to sell himself.
In some ways, I do feel he's more of a WWE guy than an AEW one, presentation wise he might fit in more with them than on AEW, but he definitely deserves a chance.

I just find him to be incredibly bland. There's just nothing whatsoever about him that strikes me as worth paying attention to. He's not bad but whatever it is he's supposed to have going for him I don't see it.

He just seems like a good guy, loves what he does, and I feel like he 'gets' pro wrestling and the entertainment side of it in a way that doesnt necessarily fit the normal AEW package, but still works for him. I get what you mean though. I think I might feel the same if I didnt watch his youtube.

I was really surprised when Meltzer said that. That being said, definitely feels like it could end up being a 50/50 thing. Two things already mentioned, the Kennedy comparison is a good one. And I’ve also thought he might stand out better in WWE for a minute now.
I think the issues might be the lack of a defined character and presentation. He can go in the ring fine, mic skills are good to great. He’s got charisma and has consistently had fans behind him despite him being in the background for a while. Partly, probably, because he hasn’t had a hard push as a solo act until seemingly now.
Again, I think it might be character and presentation. He’s a cocky, good looking, egotistical f***. MJF has that role solidified in AEW. He needs something personality or character-wise that sets him apart.
Also, who knows who ends up being the winner of the tournament, but with MJF seemingly getting strapped up soon, Ethan’s got as good a shot as anyone to face him at Winter Is Coming.

One of the few wrestler's I think would be best served going to WWE.
If you're going to make a top 5 list of wrestler's being criminally underutilized by Tony Khan and a victim of the roster bloat, he's on that list. So is Kip Sabian if I'm being honest. His crazy nefarious gimmick would be over big in WWE.
But Ethan Page? Dude is GOOD.

I think he's a great hand, just can't see him as a top guy unless some of the current top guys leave or get injured.

He's not bad but whatever it is he's supposed to have going for him I don't see it. I'm going to add that I genuinely think he seems like a very nice guy and was very nice at the Detroit Comic Con thingy during the panel/seems very cool on his videos...but otherwise I completely agree with this. Outside of his match with Darby, I don't think I've particularly cared for anything he has ever done in the ring. He's just kind of there, and him winning in a tournament with Eddie/Bandido/Rush/Ricky Starks involves just is a bummer.

Page is screwed by how many titles there are. With so many, not having one makes you less than. He really should be the type of guy who is featured in non title storylines but AEW hardly has them nowadays.

I'm a big Page and I don't think he's been used well in AEW. He at least should of been TNT or Atlantic champ by now.

I like him. He's upper mid card to me and that's a great place in the card to be.

Page is one of the select few people on the AEW roster I could buy winning the World Title. I think he’s THAT good, personally.

I think he has a spot as the Upper Mid-card guy that sometimes is seen in the main event.
Still, he is showing why using the Man Of The Year to push Sky instead of Page was a mistake. Dude does more in one segment than Sky his whole title run.

Eh, I'm with Meltzer on this, I don't see it. I've said it before but Page is one of those guys who's somehow lesser than the sum of his parts - he's fine in ring, is a very good promo, and has a good look but put all that together and I just find him incredibly bland. I wouldn't be opposed to him getting a TNT Title run at some point but there's absolutely no way I'd put the world title on him. Even him winning the tournament when guys like Starks, Eddie, Bandito, Rush and Archer are in would be super lame.

I would say he needs to be estabelished as a big deal before he wins anyway. He spent too long doing nothing to suddenly win a tournament with guy like Eddie and Stark Or Bandido that could use the super push since he is fresh out of the gate .

I like Page. I think he's very good in the ring and excellent on the mic. His intensity isn't really rivaled.
Not a huge fan of the Firm by any means but I do like that he's seen as the singles star of the group.
I feel like he's earned this push after being second fiddle to Scorpio Sky for most of the Men of the Year run. Hope he makes the most of it.
