Yankees have designated former "can't miss" pitching prospect Deivi Garcia for assignment. Baseball's evaluation of prospects feels like such a crapshoot compared to the other major sports. He never even really got a chance to show anything after his one time showing Typical Yankee bullshit. Hype up a guy and then hold on to him until he has no value. If you aren't called up after two years of them talking you up, they stop caring about you Most likely the same will probably happen to Luis Gil either in offseason or next season |

All the guy did was literally give the info from notes given to him by the team. It's like they set him up.
I just heard about this story on the radio, and yeah this is beyond petty by the Angelos family. Even CM Punk would say that the Angelos are being petty thin skinned bitches of the highest order. If I was Kevin Brown, I'd tell the Orioles to kick rocks and find a new team to broadcast for. |

If you are an Angels fan who wants Moreno gone, or even a baseball fan in general who wants him gone, you should be hoping and praying that Ohtani goes to the Dodgers.
Imagine the revolt from Angels fans that would occur if Ohtani went a half-hour north up the I-5 to Chavez Ravine to play for the Dodgers. That would probably be the last straw for lots of Angels fans. And you might start to see an Oakland A's fan type revolt happen in Anaheim next season if that were to happen. And maybe if the pressure got to hot, Moreno might actually stick to his word and sell the team.
So in conclusion, Ohtani going to the Dodgers could be the end of Moreno if Angels fans revolt enough.

Cole again comes up small when the Yankees need him, a Cy Young pitcher has to do better, unacceptable performance. I know the Yankee offense sucked, but Cole does not get a pass tonight, what happened in Baltimore that is not his fault, but again enough with the home runs.

Doesn't matter what hitting coach you bring in, the system and players are flawed
This season is a wash, thankfully they didn't waste assets on acquiring players

Cole is probably going to be a finalist for the Cy Young but it's hard to win games when your offense is anemic and can't give you any run support. Or if you have a gassed bullpen that completely undoes your entire game because of bad roster choices. |

Arte Moreno is the west coast Jeff Wilpon. I heard some commentators saying "I don't agree with them keeping Ohtani, but hey, at least they're going all in on a playoff push and a sales pitch to keep him" and it's like...no, they're not all in? They sold off futures for middling pieces when they needed impact players to get over the multiple teams in front of them, they're not going anywhere. Shohei will probably end up across the county with the Dodgers. And more importantly, with Trout on the IR they can continue to sell tickets cause of Ohtani until the end of the season Angels have chased anyone and everyone in free agency for the last 10 years and only walked away with people like Josh Hamilton, Albert Pujols, Vernon Wells, Anthony Rendon etc... In theory, those guys should have worked but they didn't Angels will most likely have won 5 of the last 10 MVP awards by end of this season. Not only do they not have any championships to show for it, they barely got playoff appearances to show for it They don't even have playoff appearances to show for it. They only have ONE playoff appearance in the last decade: 2014, the year Trout won his first MVP. And in that appearance, they got swept by the Royals. Swept as the number one overall seed to boot. |

It is a philosophy issues and until they get Cashman out and get a new voice nothing will change.
