The Mets aren't good enough, but everyone will spin how it's only April. They need to improve their bottom half on the lineup asap. Do we not remember or acknowledge how quickly a 101 win season was erased in an anemic 3 games in the post season? All of their loses with the exception of one in Milwaukee can be attributed to a lack of offense. Alvarez doesn't look to be anything special either.

Crazy that the Yankees and Blue Jays are both 7-4 yet trail the division by 4 games. Rays gonna cool down at some point but you can’t take these wins away from them later so their odds of winning the division after this start definitely increasing.

CUBS WIN!! One hell of a win against a very good Mariners team! Nice come from behind and the Cubs offically take another series win. Tomorrow would be nice for a sweep! Starting pitching tonight was AWFUL giving up 7 runs in 2 innings, but damn its nice to come from behind down so much! Cubs wake up and find a way to win a ballgame! These early April wins I know not to get too hyped about, but for a young team like this that most baseball writers are counting out, these type of victories keep a young team like his motivated and hyped!
Now, on bad news time, Swanson was taken out of the game, they say with lower left tightness. Please do not be a oblique strain, dude has been healthy all these years with the Braves and he comes to the Cubs and gets hurt within his first few weeks of the regular season.

Usual MLB rule for me is to panic around the 40 games mark
Can't really win/lose season in April unless you're really bad. Sit around .500 and you can run off a good streak

Clark Schmidt pitches his first game of the season where he won't be burdened with the L. Instead it's a no-decision thanks to Franchy Cordero hitting a homer.
He still sucked, but if the Yanks lose it won't be his fault!

If he’s still doing this after 40 games then they most likely send him down to get it right but see a bunch of players like Judge and Trout who were ass when they came up and needed a refresh

You just have to have patience and let things even out.

Kelenic looks like he’s finally breaking out for the Mariners. Pretty crucial development for them if he can keep it up.

Had the Yankees not won today, they have every right to protest this game. Manford is a joke, this shows us why he needs to go, he is a clown.

You can see the giant fork sticking out of Chris Sale's back. Also our 1st Baseman is playing Shortstop because the Centerfielder who usually plays SS has to play CF because the Rightfielder who usually plays Center is injured.

The Rays are 12-0, and Chris Sale is cooked. Injuries have more than caught up with him.

A routine groundball to 2nd and Buxton ends up landing on his head. Injury-prone doesn't even do this guy justice anymore. Injury-magnet. Injury-savant. Injury-seeker.

That man just has super bad luck on a high level A lot of it is really bad luck, but this one is on him. You see this play all the time and guys just slow down, because the last thing you want to do in this scenario is run yourself into being tagged and letting the fielder get a double play. Buxton put himself in a bad position and ran into the guy as awkwardly as possible. He's the perfect storm.
