Rational Yankees fan here. The Rays are good.

The Rays are completely legitimate.
No, they won't keep their pace up, obviously, especially given how many guys in their lineup are posting OPS's over .900 right now, but give it another couple of weeks and they may well be at a point where all they'll have to do is go .500 the rest of the way to wrap up a playoff spot.
Other issue of the day: a Phillies' pitcher brought up that MLB stadiums typically stop selling booze after the 7th inning, but with games being shorter now a lot of parks are creating options to buy alcohol up until last pitch. That...might be a bit problematic.
It's been roughly calculated that the shorter game times could lead to about $1 million in lost concession revenue, but that's frankly pocket change for the greed monsters running these clubs.

The Rays are a good team and are arguably the smartest team in baseball by always being able to field a competitive team capable of deep playoff runs with minimal salary and a stadium that causes mental health problems. But baseball is a long season and I've seen huge winning streaks followed by insane losing streaks.
Just saying it's April and weirder shit's happened in baseball.

Oh there’s no doubt they’ll come back to earth…I just doubt it’s tonight against Berrios.

You are never as good as you are at your hottest and as bad at your lowest
The Rays are legit without question. They will come down to earth but have built a nice cushion for themselves

Blue Jays must have gotten the Scott Hall memorial stun gun because they are leading the undefeated Rays 2-0. The Jays will be the 1 in 13-1

Speaking of how great the Rays will be this year, Springs is now out 2 months.

Keep losing, losers. Every day closer to firing Kapler and Farhan is a good one.

Two in a row to the Twins, WTF Cashman, if this is not a sign that Cashman needs to go I don't know what is. He put a lousy team together again, all they do is hit home runs and do nothing else. They can't beat any teams with good pitching. The Yankees will never win till Hal wakes up and makes some changes, this is embarrassing, in excusable to lose to the freaking Twins. As much as we get on Boone, it is not his fault, Cashman sucks.

In all the (justified) hubbub about the Rays, the Twins are putting together a solid little opening month, huh? Hope they keep it up, I've got a bit of a soft spot for Minnesota.

Everyone is going to bash Clay Holmes here, but here is a noble concept, how about score more than 3 runs, this is all on the offense, it is their fault, they suck. The Yankees are not build for these low scoring games, if they don't score 5 runs a game, they are going to lose. This is all on the offense, it is their fault. Cashman did a lousy job building this roaster around Judge.
I bet Hicks starts tomorrow, why the hell not, can Boone be anymore tone death.

Well, the streak had to end sometime, and it ended tonight. Fun run, tied the record, and I bet the Rays bought themselves a LOT of confidence going forward. Should be a fun year for Tampa fans.

Yankees got curbstomped by the Twins, Orioles barely squeaked by the A’s and the Blue Jays got chumped out by the lowly Tigers. That’s enough talk about the Rays sweeping garbage teams in destructive fashion. Yeah.....about that.
