Cards need to think about a change at batting coach sooner than later. No damn discipline at the plate. Edit: Relievers ain’t got any control either. Let’s piss another game away. Mo gotta go first. It's no coincidence that all of our best players are guys who we got in FA/trade, and that guys develop more when they leave like Gallen/Alcantara/Randy/Garcia. How many "next great outfielder(s)" have we had? O'Neill is a bum. They won't let Walker work through things. They won't let Nootbar work through things. They didn't let Carlson work through things. Next it'll be Burleson. Yepez is back up to not get ABs. We have SO much organizational depth that we hot potato spots and end up stunting EVERYONE'S growth. It's a beautiful system. The Shildt firing is one that really stings me. Doesn't seem like he got a fair shake, and for sure not as much rope as we gave Matheny who was total ass and inherited a much better team. Thing is I looked up the batting coach and he’s good friend with Goldschmidt and helped a bunch of our guys work through their issues in the minors when they were struggling….so….we’re stuck hoping they figure their crap out. Contreras just left the bases loaded so yeah…

Phillies gotta seriously put some people in the hot seat
This is inexcusable trash baseball, and Rob Thompson has not been a good manager to start the season, not benching Trea so he continues to slump, Schwarber being moved to leadoff batting under .190, Marsh and Stott not even playing today, the Pitching Staff having the second worst ERA in baseball right now
Dombrowski's moves this season have looked pathetic, not helped by the fact guys like Eflin are soaring with other teams. Trash baseball that isn't getting better. Some guys aren't gonna be employed by June if this keeps up. And they should be fired, this team made a World Series, this is supposed to be an all in push, and right now they look like the fourth best team in their division. F*** this shit.

Contreras just left the bases loaded so yeah… That would be ideal, but I still think we need to be better about keeping guys in the line-up. Figure out who you want your outfield to be going forward and unless someone really forces the issue, ride with your guys.

Tigers are now 12-3 against teams not in the AL east, and 2-14 against the AL east.

Cubs are undefeated when Matt Mervis is playing 1st at the federal landmark! Nice to see the Cubs win today, and nice of Matt to get a hit and a RBI today, Swanson needs to start figuring it out again, got off to a great start and then just cooled off the last few weeks.
Cardinals problem, as much as I do love Contreras and will consider him to be my catcher forever as a Cub, dude is absolutely shit at game calling, pitch framing and throwing runners out. There is a insane stat where pitchers for the Cubs when Contreras was catching had a full point higher ERA than when somebody else was catching for them. Even Schwarber when he was behind the plate got better stuff from the pitching staff than Contreras. Cardinals paid him to hit, which statistically he does not start doing until around mid June until around mid September. Rest of the time you will be enjoying strike outs while he swings on his knees, or the 6-4-3 business with occasional home run. Around June 11th however, dude is going to be 2006 Jim Edmonds up there.

TB update; 27:6
I wouldn't be surprised to see them finish with just a single-digit loss.

The single season record with the modern schedule is the 2001 Seattle Mariners, who went 116-46. Tampa Bay would have to shatter that record over its knee and win more than 150 games. That's... not going to happen.
Tampa is a great team, but they've benefited a lot from having a very easy April. Both times they played teams that were actually competitive, they lost the series.

Mikolas, who has usually been effective despite not having overpowering stuff, seems to finally be getting hit hard. Which was always going to happen sometimes. Matz is below-average for the few starts a year he can stay healthy. Waino just now got back, and JoMo is our only consistent starter. Flaherty hasn't been bad, but an IL visit is always just around the corner. We honestly need two starters in trade. Knowing Mo, we'llprobably end up with just one and it being someone like DeSclefani and not a Giolito or someone high-end. Whatever we can do to win 80 games and appear like we're in it.

Walker never gonna come back up at this rate. This org is a tire fire.

Bader for MVP. And with Cole pitching tomorrow, a chance to most likely to set a series win in Tampa, who saw that coming, I certainly didn't.

The Phillies never lost six games straight under Girardi... That's how dire this shit is right now lol
The starting pitching staff has a 9.91 ERA in this losing streak, yeah, you read that correctly
Someone's gonna get fired lmfao

Something I don't think is being talked about enough is the rock solid season the Rangers are putting in so far. Their bullpen needs work, but this is a team that's putting in the work, and I think they're a real post-season threat this year.

Screw you Aaron Boone, again it is incompetence is costing us. How many games do they have to lose before they fire him?
Where are all the Aaron Boone defenders now?
