There’s a little something there… of course he got absolutely shelled maybe 2 outings later. |

Tampa Bay has been in contact with Jacob DeGrom The entire Rays active payroll for 2023 is currently $24.5 million. deGrom alone would probably make more than that next season. Are they going to pay him a one-year, $30 million contract that pays out in $1 million installments over the next 30 years? |

Tampa Bay has been in contact with Jacob DeGrom The entire Rays active payroll for 2023 is currently $24.5 million. deGrom alone would probably make more than that next season. Are they going to pay him a one-year, $30 million contract that pays out in $1 million installments over the next 30 years? I’m sure they will try to get “creative” with a big one year deal but yeah DeGrom stands to make big money on a Scherzer level 3 year deal. |

Mariners acquire Kolton Wong Jesse Winker and Abraham Toro go to Milwaukee and the Brewers also cover the difference in cash. Thus ends the disappointing Winker experiment in Seattle (and the Toro experiment as a whole). Hopefully Wong can settle in a good platoon with Dylan Moore at 2B. Now, to get a good left hitting outfielder! |

Verlander is going to get paid big time now since Cohen has to replace deGrom plus the Dodgers are involved as well.

Man, that is such a huge gamble. If he’s healthy, he’s the best in the game. But at almost 40 million per, that’s a colossal IF.

I understand not going all in for Jake right there, and am thankful it's not Atlanta. But, Uncle Steve can you let us in on what's going on? Despite having all this money, we don't seem to be interested in getting any better after a post-season berth that told us we weren't good enough. Despite being a perfect fit for this team, we are inexplicably not in play for Aaron Judge. We want to bring back Bassit because why? What's the game plan?, because again we look to be not good enough

Not getting all the people saying that the Mets are bad again. Must be trolls.
The Mets won 178 games while getting less than a season worth of deGrom. We just need to replace the production. Verlander would go a long way to help.
