Unless they put him with Danhausen or the J.A.S every week so they can play off him?
Nah, not really anxious to see Nick “the best Baskin Robbins flavor is Tap Water” Aldis.

I'd take Punk back before letting this guy enter the building.

As Nick Aldis? no. If he was brought in with Doug Williams as the British Invasion or as a one off to team with Joe again? sure.
But as Nick Aldis controller of the NWA title? Nah. he just doesn't stick out

He's one of those guys where like...if there were a compelling angle for him, and a decent reinvention of his persona, then he's alright enough that I could maybe say I'm down for him, but I couldn't for the life of me think of anything to do with him that couldn't be done with a dozen other AEW roster members.

No. I don't hate Aldis like many here, but he's a tag guy, basically Billy Gunn if they hadn't given up on his main event push. There's nothing wrong with being the athletic guy in a tag team, but that isn't a role he's likely to accept being in, and AEW have better all round solo performers who aren't being used.

Aldis is like the reverse Damien Sandow; someone who spent to so much time being seen as a wasted talent in Impact only to go to other places and make one realize "Yeah, that really was his ceiling in hindsight".

I voted yes to this question in WWE and no on this one for AEW just because of the roster size.

I can give Sandow credit. At least he tried being entertaining, he just sucked at it. Aldis was all "alright cool, my character is SUPER SRS and he wears nice suits".

Nick Aldis would be a massive drag. AEW has enough people who are unspectacular 'good hands' who don't have half the chip on their shoulder that Aldis does. I don't see myself being interested in him being even halfway as high up the card as he would want to be.

I'd say his most likely landing spot is on Impact with Mickie. Agreed, and honestly it's the best move for him. WWE doesn't feel right. AEW has ridiculous roster bloat. NJPW also doesn't feel right. Impact he has a storied history there, and would feel important pretty much immediately. I'd take Punk back before letting this guy enter the building. Hey now, let's not say things we don't mean
