I just learned about his death, I'm just shocked, this came out of nowhere for me.
RIP Conroy, you were my childhood Batman.

I saw him in an interview Michael Rosenbaum's podcast where he talked about the difficult relationship with his dad. It was very touching actually.
RIP

Damn… he was and is the voice of Batman to me. From the original BtAS and onward into other series. The Arkham series are fantastic and very much helped by Kevin Conroy being the voice as we go through each game.
RIP

Now that is an awful gut punch to wake up to. Been watching a lot of BtAS lately so kind of especially on my mind.

That is very difficult news to digest.
A major part of my childhood for the animated series, and a massive part of my teenage and young adult life in the Arkham series. As others have said, his voice is all I hear when reading comics or any story involving Batman. He pulled off the dichotomy of Batman and Bruce Wayne better than anyone.
R.I.P.

On Screen, Michael Keaton is my Batman. But Conroy is the voice I hear when I read the comics. Not to mention all the animated properties of Batman with him as the voice are my favourite.
RIP.

That's a massive, massive loss. Celebrity deaths don't usually hit me but I'm genuinely sad.

He was gifted with a voice that you only had to hear once to remember for a lifetime. I'm confident that even many years from now it'll be the voice of Kevin Conroy that I hear in my head when I'm reading a Batman comic.
RIP Kevin Conroy

So I've been putting this off for a few hours now. I feel like I need to post something in this thread but I genuinely have no idea what to say. Kevin Conroy's Batman was a major part of my childhood and one of the many reasons for my love of animation today. He will be missed.

With Conroy’s passing it is going to be insanely difficult, nay bordering on impossible, to have as many Batman actors, from across as many generations, all in one place to the degree the “Chill of the Night!” episode of Batman: The Brave and The Bold did. Adam West as Thomas Wayne, Julie Newmar as Martha Wayne, Kevin Conroy as The Phantom Stranger, Mark Hamill as The Spectre, and of course Diedrich Bader as Batman. Impeccable lineup.

I won't say there can never be another voice for Batman because there have been many goo, if not great one but Kevin Conroy really was a league of his own. RIP to a legend.

Up there with Keaton as my definitive Batman, and the voice I hear while reading the comics. A pretty major part of my childhood. RIP

I might rewatch Mask of the Phantasm later. Wondered about it the other day but had just watched Under the Red Hood and they're very similar movies so I watched Return of the Joker instead.

Him being able to play an older, live action Bruce Wayne in the Arrowverse Crisis On Infinite Earths was such a cool guest spot, too. I think that gives him the distinction of being the only actor besides Adam West to be Bruce in both animated and live action forms.
