What are some example of transitional season of sitcoms in which certain characters appear that you don't associate with that era.
For me, season 4 - 5 of Cheers, seeing Woody and Diane in the show at the same time, I find that weird. Woody I associate with the Rebecca seasons, and seeing him there that early is just odd. And a little minor, seeing Frazer in season 3 with Coach still there instead of Woody, that is a little odd too.
Season 4 of Spin City, seeing Heather Locklear in the Michael J. Fox era.
Season 2 of Newhart, seeing Stephanie and Kirk there at the same time (though Stephanie did guest star in season 1) has that similar feel to Woody and Diane being there at the same time.

Radar in the Major Winchester-era episodes of M*A*S*H*... Dude was balding and still pretending to be a kid.

Jennifer and Mary-Anne in the second season of Perfect Strangers. I guess I associate them more with the era where Larry and Balki were working at the newspaper (didnt help that the first two seasons were rarely aired in reruns, at least the ones I saw).
