Before you all post, take 10 seconds to ask yourself whether or not you're bringing politics into this thread.If there's even the single bit of concern, the answer is probably yes. I was wondering about all the "I'm not political, but here is a clear picture or quote about...someone..." I got zapped for vague references before, but I admit I had it coming either way. I had to calm down after seeing those though today. Maybe I need to not be so curious, especially with things containing other things that'll gaslight me. |

I can get behind this trend of absolute scumbags learning that there are consequences to their actions. Of all people, mike Tyson said it best-social media has gotten people accustomed to being jerks in public without getting sone teeth loosened for it. At the risk of edging the political, newspapers, radio, and television have all been subject to legal requirements for moderation for ages. And none of them ceased to exist as a medium, they just had to at least attempt to clean up their act. The same applies to social media and it’s been obviously needed for a long time. Gamergate (yeah, remember that) should have been a wake up call to social media being weaponized for nefarious purposes. The narrative of people having their feeds frozen for wrongthink, because they adhered to certain politics, is gaslighting nonsense. It was for doing things like harassing and threatening people, or, oh yeah, porn spamming. Something they had reached absurd levels since musk took over Twitter. Which is why his lawsuit is so utterly juvenile, who wants to advertise on a platform flooded with porn? |

I don't believe in karma, but Rowling getting hit by a lawsuit when she hides behind them to pull bad articles and tweets about her would be pretty poetic.
Musk has probably lost count of the lawsuits he's involved in.
