Could do without every seeing the Elite again but 6 more times is absolutely overkill

Hmm, I feel there's a good idea in here, but they've kinda shot themselves in the foot by having the six man already.
Ideally you want this in a sorta Ryder cup situation, where you pair off each team into 3 separate 1v1s, then you can rotate through three 2v2s (so members of each trio team up with the others once) and THEN conclude on the 3v3.

I highly doubt they'll go the full seven. First time doing the gimmick of a world series esque series for a the title I fully expect them to end it at match 5 so there's more drama the next time they do it.

I hope they experiment with these.
Give me one match where, say, Death Triangle get themselves DQed by annihilating the Elite with chairs. One point down, but advantage is theirs. The week after they win in a quick but competitive match by targeting injuries. Like the Brock chair spot in the Iron Man but expanded out
Then another one can be really short because a roll up just happens to work and the wind is blowing the right way
Have one of them open Dynamite and go a full hour
AEW has surprised me with experimentation before, I think this could be interesting

See, I also think this is a good opportunity to not just establish the Six man titles for audiences with big names facing off but a good chance to establish people on the midcard to face the winner afterwards.
We know about House of Black but you can give some wins to AR Fox and Top Flight, a Dark Order combination, three of the Factory, 2.0 and Garcia/Hager, three members of the Firm, just lay some groundwork across Rampage and Dark/Dark Elevation so that you both establish the six man titles as viable for people to fight for but for whoever wins to get some title matches for. Not all of them are going to win the belts but you give people a thrilling (hopefully) Best of 7 whilst having them keep an eye on who the first challenger might be.
Whether that happens I don't know but it's helped the Women's division a ton with having Willow, Skye, Athena and others sniffing around the respective title pictures.

I don’t know if it’s been brought up, but I don’t think this is for TV but more for the live audience. This is a spectacle that is to help sell tickets after a bit of a down time. Though I am also excited to see it play out on TV.

I think we have the Elite lose 3 times straight and then have the Omega Young Bucks split storyline

Love all 6 guys but I hope they throw some gimmicks on a few of these matches. Ladder, cage, street fight, something.

Though I am also excited to see it play out on TV. This is a fair point. I skipped buying tickets for three potential AEW shows in the past two months, and if this six-man tag was guaranteed to take place, I definitely would have reconsidered. Although if the Elite were around in general during that time it would have put AEW in a better place for me to attend live.

Big fan of both teams but as others have said, definitely need to have match variation culminating in a ladder match.

The only thing they didn’t reference in that match was page 54.

The long-term story here is pretty obvious, I think. Eventually, Death Triangle is going to cost themselves the titles because they can't get on the same page about cheating with hammers.
It was a fun match though. The Elite went out there expecting to get booed out of the building and worked like petty, shitheaded heels throughout the entire match. It gave the match a completely different vibe from the first one.

Watching the Elite (and especially the Bucks) tonight was like watching them in PWG when they were the best heels ever.

Either Punk is NEVER coming back, or there's a 0.1% chance he's completely in on it at this point and he'll be back when he heals up. Because, for f***s sake, you just can't discount the possibility of literally anything in wrestling.
