Yeah felt like this was an admission that they needed to change things up for both the title and Wardlow. Wardlow is still very over, but the momentum just wasn't there. Joe can not only still go but can get so much over on the mic it was just the right move Yeah I don’t think Wardlow should be in a mid card title division. He squashed MJF in like 5 minutes. When you book him so strongly against main event talent, he’s going to look like he’s slumming if you put him with low/mid card talent. Joe is the first guy he will feud with that seems like a legit threat to him, and he needs more of that. He doesn’t need the equivalent of the TV title. With that said, I was hoping Hobbs would win it, but they can always build him up to take it down the road. I was expecting them to have Hobbs win by beating Joe honestly. Joe winning feels like a reset for the belt too as he will make that matter

Marked out for this result, because I didn't think Joe was winning at all Love Joe, please have him do the open challenge again, step up, Joe's gonna kill you I would be well up for Joe absolutely squashing a few lower card guys Also, I agree with Lizuka that while I intellectually understand that Wardlow is good and can see he is over, I just do not give a shit about him at all and his participation in something has been a draw for me barely a handful of times

The entire reign was being bogged down in pointless tag feuds with the only title defense after the first month of his reign that wasn't a total squash being Brian Cage who nobody bought as a threat or cares about anyway.
