The best part about that first no crowd Smackdown was the wrestlers (i think Nikki Cross was one of them?) still playing up the crowd that wasn't there and you could tell they were told to do doing that during the break.

The early parts of the pandemic produced some of the weirdest cards that are fun to look back on. Look at this. It's like 3 different 1993 episodes of RAW back to back to back: Damn, so many of those are now elsewhere. But I agree with the others, the office match they ripped off ddt was the best. Especially the no fighting in Vince's office part.

I remember a video of everyone just talking to one another during commercial while a match was in progress. And since there was no live crowd to watch, there was no need to do a resthold spot or hotdogging to the fans, so we got this.

I know some didn't like it but I loved Bayley's and Sasha's dominance, and their match at HIAC was great, too.
The women's 2021 Rumble was the best one so far.

Not that there’s been many, but the pandemic killed the Empty Arena Match forever, right?
Or is it going to become a retro thing and they’ll do it again for a match?

I actually enjoyed most of the Alexa/Fiend/Orton saga in a guilty pleasure kind of way.

Reigns vs McIntyre at Survivor Series 2020 was an absolute banger. It was one of the few matches I caught in my wilderness years and it was almost enough to get me back into things until I remembered who was producing the show.

Sasha and Bayley were in their bag during this era, even if the booking got stale.

Anyone remember that weird match with Apollo Crews and (I think) Aleister Black, that went through three commercial breaks?
That wasn't great, but everyone riffing on it in the live thread was lol
More seriously, Billie Kay did some amazing character work post-IIconics breakup. Her in the Riott Squad, the 8x10s and of course, Billie and Jillie. Great stuff.

All those times that one girl who looked kinda like Billie Kay would be in the video audience.

I was legit starting to get into the goofy "get characters over" nature of RAW underground. Then it got axed.
Alas, Shane McMahon, as usual, got WHACKED (and proceeded to be SACKED).

The early parts of Retribution, right up to the name reveals were quality so-bad-it’s-good content.

"Thank you. Thank YOU. You're all here with me." gets me very emotional Drew. Just.....Drew. Everything he did during the pandemic era was tremendous. It absolutely breaks my heart at how badly Drew got robbed by not having a live crowd for his title win and subsequent run.

Underrated gem was Charlotte vs. Rhea at Mania.
