I say this to myself every day before engaging in online discourse 🙏🏾 Even when you're not talking about wrestling.

So Regal did all that to burden MJF with the pressure of being the world champion and the attention that comes thereof, while teaching the Combat Club “DON’T TRUST ANYBODY, ESPECIALLY ME… PEACE OUT”.
(Moxley: “But I LIKED being the World Champion…”)

Am I missing something? What did HHH do? ![](https://uproxx.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/09/screen-shot-2016-09-29-at-9-02-37-pm.jpg?w=690)

A lot of people will probably poo poo that interview with Tony but I thought it actually worked as a cool final appearance for a Regal, you don't see the kind of story telling in wrestling They should go full soap opera and just claim that Regal actually DIED in the hospital and we never see his character on TV That's Impact lol I'm picturing one more pretape taped Impact style where right after Bryan leaves for the night MJF visits Regal in the hospital and turns his life support off AND stabs him

(Moxley: “But I LIKED being the World Champion…”) Straight up, I was hoping Moxley was going to say, "f*** that guy. What a dumb piece of shit, and if I ever see him again, I'm going to stomp his twig-n-berries."

I thought that was a nice way to wrap things up all things considered. Gave us an explanation and allowed Regal to have a quasi 4th wall breaking moment where he put over the BCC and got to say goodbye to everyone.

But he didn't say goodbye to Excalibur The love story will never truly get a goodbye ![:P](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/tongue.png)

Why do people think Triple H controls his Twitter account? I'm sure her has access to it but if it is not run by a PR person I'd be shocked.

They’d show Regal in the hospital with dramatic lighting and music with Moxley coming in and choking him with a pillow. THEN they’d say he died.

I’m kind of surprised that TK would get butthurt about them using the Regal War Games gag(which is essentially a meme at this point) in a tweet to hype the War Games match with the way that TK takes little potshots at the WWE from time to time on Twitter…I mean I’m not really surprised because wrestling is full of weirdos but still. Basically they all look like clowns. TK seems like the type of person that everything is all good when he is the one poking fun and taking shots but as soon as someone else does it to him he whines and cries about it. I’ve mentioned it on here before but yeah, the guy is very similar to a certain former powerful guy/WWE HOFer. He is comically thin-skinned and a world class narcissist. Triple H’s account tweets a tribute to his great friend as he was synonymous with the event each year, and TK can’t help but find a way to make it all about himself and take it personally. Jesus Christ, buddy. Go take a f***ing nap. You’ve earned it.

Jesus Christ, buddy. Go take a f***ing nap. You’ve earned it. Because HHH has done so much shit in good faith before and never taking petty, narcassistic shots at AEW before both online and on live television before? This case might've been a load of nothing, but the reactions here aren't really at HHH's solo tweet, they're at HHH in general, dude's not a saint himself. Or there wouldn't be reaction at all. That being said I feel like this is being stretched a great deal just so people can get their "F*** HHH/F*** Tony Khan" jollies in and frankly, it's tiring in itself.

Look, I'm not going to sit here and say HHH had any responsibility for the tweet. That's not his department and there's no reason for him to have any part of it.
What I will say is that these things don't happen in a vacuum. That doesn't mean it was a mandate to capitalize on online speculation about Regal but I'm also not not saying it was a mandate to capitalize on online speculation about Regal.
Also, not being funny, if I were TK, I'd be cynical about a company's intention when the head booker of the company backtracks on his many "NXT is a third brand" statements out of pettiness that he lost.

This idea that Khan was pissed about the War Games tweet, is this actually based on anything real? Did he say anything about it or tweet about it himself? Or is it just online conjecture of how he feels?
That's a genuine question, by the way. I don't recall seeing anything but I have a history of missing stuff.

I would normally be extremely cynical of anything Triple H does and I do like Tony Khan (although he makes me a cringe a lot), but I'll give Triple H the benefit of the doubt for this one. People were posting all kinds of War Games memes using Regal, and I genuinely think on this occasion it was just a nod to Regal.
That being said, Triple H has done enough underhanded things that I don't blame Tony for doubting his intentions.

I mean, does anyone really think Tony cared?
It seems more likely to me when Tony said he was surprised, he meant he was surprised that someone in the position HHHunter is in posted a meme about an AEW guy, rather tan he was surprised they would dare or whatever. I feel like the old 'IWC' is making a situation here that isnt really there.

I know he has mentioned that he has spoke to Nick Khan when he did those promos for Impact to make sure he understood he was just doing it in character. Tony seems more mad at things like WWE asking wrestlers to get out of their contract to come back to them than anythint... and scheduling ppvs the same day as his

So even if you were under the assumption that things changed under the HHH regime, the very recent alleged stories involving Andrade, Fish, Malakai and Swerve sort of say otherwise. Like, again, not saying he did it or pushed the button or whatever, but it's more weird to me that it happened considering WWE to that point has a stance against showcasing people not working for them that much for understandable reasons.
