He said that he was surprised by it. That seems to be it. So surprised = He's a thin skinned, petty narcissist to some people Yeah that sounds about right, like Homer trying to clear Springfield Gorge. The quote was: “ I was a little surprised by the supercut of him on Triple H’s Twitter, and given how accommodating we were being to the whole thing, I was not necessarily expecting to see that. I didn’t necessarily think it was in the spirit of how accommodating we were being about the whole thing, but whatever.” Keep in mind it was a tweet made the day of War Games of a 6-second clip of Regal saying War Games where the tweet says “Tonight just wouldn’t be the same without…”

Tony clearly wanted to do his angle ahead of anything coming out and that tweet didn't help matters. And it's a Tweet. It being six seconds doesn't matter. It matters how much engagement it gets.

Basically. Like, if it came from someone random on the WWE roster or in the War Games matches themselves, you could blow it off as them referencing the meme for engagement. It coming from the main account? And after all the talks both Regal and Khan had? It adds unneeded fuel to the fire because more people would see that so I can't really blame TK for feeling that way. It'd be like if it wasn't the Bucks referencing the PWG Mount Rushmore stable when the news of Kevin Owens' contract came out but the AEW Twitter account.

That feels like reaching tho. The rumors were already out there and if you’re not a person in the know it’s just a homage. Feels like TK a little in his bag in this one. If you want to say they acted in bad faith, say that instead of beating around the bush and adding more fuel to the fire. Sort of feels like when Kubo complained about them ending Bleach like 2 weeks early. Bro story was over, you wasn’t adding anymore backstory

And no, it ain't going to affect things long term or dramatically change anything but the trouble is, there's so much history of this sort of thing especially in the Monday Night Wars where that stuff happened on commentary or in promos a lot that unless there's an internal purge or mentality shift, that ain't going to suddenly fade away. To put a scale on it, it's WWE uploading a match onto YouTube from someone talked about or with a contract expiring somewhere else. It's not underhanded but you can't help but side-eye it.

Silly Captain. They’d show Regal in the hospital with dramatic lighting and music with Moxley coming in and choking him with a pillow. THEN they’d say he died. I need that. Complete with MJF having a full replica of the body to use as a rack for his scarf, jacket and title

It’s such a reach in this particular scenario because Regal is synonymous with War Games and it was a quick throwaway type tweet. It wasn’t a random Regal mention by Triple H with no relevance.

The thing is I’m fine with the little pot shots at each other but it feels like when you complain about the little things then all your doing is adding just more fuel to the fire to fans. If you’re going to throw shots then be fine taking them whether you think a shot was intentional or not and in this case I feel like it was a papercut not really worth talking about It’s good TK got his ear to the ground but worrying about rumors should not effect his plans. The insiders couldn’t even nail down details of his contract so it was a guessing game until actually confirmed

I’m kind of surprised that TK would get butthurt about them using the Regal War Games gag(which is essentially a meme at this point) in a tweet to hype the War Games match with the way that TK takes little potshots at the WWE from time to time on Twitter…I mean I’m not really surprised because wrestling is full of weirdos but still. Basically they all look like clowns. TK seems like the type of person that everything is all good when he is the one poking fun and taking shots but as soon as someone else does it to him he whines and cries about it. Tony very much feels like a great example of "Can dish it but can't take it". Like Tony seems like a good guy at heart but he certainly likes to take pot shots at WWE here and there but then acts surprise when WWE may clap back. The tweet thing to me doesn't really feel like a big deal or something worth getting upset not the least being there are worse things that could have been done. Getting slightly bothered by WWE having a tweet of Regal saying wargames is not worth it. Granted WWE are no saints themselves and Triple h isn't equally petty for the record.

Complete with MJF having a full replica of the body to use as a rack for his scarf, jacket and title I'm more thinking "Head of Regal placed above the fireplace in Jon Moxley's home" but I'll take a bronzed up suited Regal being a coat rack.

That's just me, anyway. Like, it's like HHH's answer about NXT/AEW. Whether he should have responded to it is up to preference but it'd be weird if he didn't address it in some way considering the platform he was asked on.

But now that I think about it, if it was LU, after Regal's murder we would've gotten a shot of Dario musing how Regal's fall works into his plans. And his Lordship would've also been apart of Her Majesty's Secret Service.

And possibly have a twin brother named Steven... And Steven would be played by Doug Williams. And I'm now annoyed we never got a Regal/Williams Team or interaction.

For all those in the thread with the whataboutism that WWE has taken potshots at AEW, can y’all do me a huge favour and make a big list of all the shots WWE has taken at AEW? But when you do, please include a comprehensive list of all the shots that AEW has done towards WWE too. Would love to see an apples to apples comparison, thanks guys.
