Mox was killing it for the BCC.
MJF was a shell of himself, so Regal decided to betray his boys ?
Explain it to me.

Because MJF is a manipulative piece of shit, and maybe Regal wanted to latch on to the next hot act?

Mox was killing it for the BCC. MJF was a shell of himself, so Regal decided to betray his boys ? Explain it to me. He's been following MJF's career since he started, and the MJF/Regal promo basically laid out how much Regal saw in MJF from the start and how much he wanted him to succeed Mox, Danielson, Claudio, they were all made talents, fine on their own. Max was getting attacked by The Firm and laid out, seemed completely off his game. So Regal made the choice, even if it meant having Mox and BCC members pissed off at him. In the end, his gamble failed, and once MJF has what he wanted, Regal was expendable.

Because it looks like he’s leaving for WWE, and wanted to give MJF a rub?

Team up with MJF and he'll take you to nice restaurants.
Team up with Mox and he'll treat you to a dumpster dinner.
Regal got bored of fighting the raccoons for food.

Because it looks like he’s leaving for WWE, and wanted to give MJF a rub? That makes the most sense.

Because getting a guy to straighten himself out and live up to his potential matters more to Regal than backing a made winner. The Jon Moxley who Regal first took to wasn't exactly the killer he is today, either. Regal is a teacher more than he's a manager and he found someone who he thought had so high a ceiling that it was worth betraying Moxley to back him. Doesn't seem that confusing to me.

To help MJF be the best bad guy in history. Isn't that what MJF said at the beginning of that promo Wednesday?

One of the most baffling angles in AEW history in my opinion. MJF finally wins the world title due to Regal turn, but we see them appear together once after the win. Before Regal can even speak, MJF turns on him. A heel, turns on a heel, Mox never gets his revenge, and no one gets the rub.

I don’t think that transition to any type of rub, or extra heat. The fans didn’t sympathize with Regal at all. He had just screwed the root babyface in the company. Who now can never get his rightful revenge.

Before Regal can even speak, MJF turns on him. A heel, turns on a heel, Mox never gets his revenge, and no one gets the rub. MJF got a super rub, literally he turned on Regal after he played Regal into getting what he wanted, and knocked him senseless, reading the exact same email he sent to him as a teenager that put him in a dark place I don't see how it's baffling, it was laid out clear as crystal and they executed it beautifully. Mox didn't need revenge, he told Regal to run and he never wanted to see him again, Danielson was the one dude defending Regal and this is his reward, watching his mentor fall to his own ego thinking he helped make a new great villain, and unfortunately, he succeeded all too well. This gives Danielson the path to face MJF, and Mox will face Hangman because in his eyes Regal was already dead. Not baffling at all imo, let alone one of the most baffling in history.

I think the Regal motivation kind of just makes the whole thing dumber? Like I guess I get the concept of wanting to elevate MJF because he sees something in him but deciding he wants to throw away a sure thing to puff up someone who needs his help who has thoroughly demonstrated he can hold onto grudges for insanely long periods of time and is incredibly untrustworthy just makes Regal look like a total dumbass.
Really the whole thing just feels like they badly overthought a desperate attempt to keep MJF getting booed when people don't want to anymore because plans can never change.

MJF turning on him was nothing more than an act of pettiness because he snubbed him in WWE. He even quoted his words back to him. I understand the motivation. I don’t think that transition to any type of rub, or extra heat. The fans didn’t sympathize with Reba at all. He had just screwed the root babyface in the company. Who now can never get his rightful revenge. I didn't know Max knocked Reba out, Britt must be furious And the crowd seemed to sympathize with Regal a lot, and were booing MJF hard. The person who is gonna get the rub is both Max with the heat, and Danielson because he stuck by Regal. And again, Mox never wanted revenge, he essentially told Regal he was dead to him last week, that was his last word on it, but Danielson still cared, so seeing Regal laid out meant everything to him, and starts that program.

You weren't supposed to feel bad for Jim, it just added an extra layer of dickery to DX.
