I've tried to be more diplomatic than I probably should be re: the TK/Punk dynamic, but damn if TK doesn't constantly come off as all starry-eyed "I can change him!" in all this.

In some ways I don't blame him especially if Warner has been pushing for it and wanting Punk themselves to be a star of a brand, especially with rights deals coming up, but I have to say, Punk is making it extremely f***ing difficult in about every possible way he can, when all he has to do is get over it and shut the f*** up, and it just seems IMPOSSIBLE.

I haven’t seen anything to think he wants to change him actually. I seriously doubt he sees anything wrong with him, he sees all of this as shit that’ll somehow draw. He’s probably loving this shit and one day will be like “GUHHHH who saw this coming ⁉️” when things escalate even too far for him at this rate.

Not saying I don't see the argument for it because I do, but it's also the reason why Andrade or Eddie Kingston didn't get fired for fighting with Sammy Guevara. You basically give a reason and a method for those unsatisfied to try and get themselves fired.

Like, Miro could randomly show up at a press conference during his hiatus, say everyone is a piece of shit and his booking sucks and then if he doesn't get fired, he could go on Twitter and ask "Hey, Punk got fired for what he did, why wasn't I?"

There's more motivation to let people cool down and sort it out and keep them around then basically giftwrap WWE a new talent and have Michael Cole say on his return "In other places, he feels disrespected but he's back home now!" because they absolutely 100% would have him do that.

And look, I'm not saying any of this is good but it isn't like Vince dropped people for stuff they did. Carlito for, like, 3 years shot on WWE in every newspaper he was interviewed for during WrestleMania weekend like clockwork and the reason he didn't get fired was a) you give people an excuse to take interviews to shoot on the company and get fired and b) his dad literally runs Puerto Rico wrestling and you don't want an excuse for Carlos Colon to say "What a coincidence, all the venues hate you and don't want you here. Sorry!"

EDIT: Also to add, TK doesn't want to give Punk an excuse to sue him so yeah, he's not going to say very much right now since he knows that's more likely to happen and if he does something as a boss (and this goes for any boss), he'd rather not give Punk rope to tie Tony with rather than make his own rope to do himself in with.

I’m presuming that Punk is doing the Hogan pose and legdrop because of the Hogan comparisons but considering what Hogan did for ratings and money I’d say he’s better off doing HBK poses tbh as it’s very reminiscent of HBK & Vince in the 90s

I'll be in the building for the Lexington show...I'm morbidly curious as to what his post-show promo will sound like. 

I kind of sort of think there's a chance Chuck Taylor gets the "send the crowd home happy" promo though. They seem to let the hometown guy do it pretty often.

True, but Chuck's also an Elite friend. If Nemeth, Hardy, and even Daniels aren't allowed at Collision tapings, I wouldn't be surprised if Chuck gets banned too.

Obviously the whole thing makes Punk look so pathetic and petty but the icing on the cake is the fact he f***ed up and botched his "joke" anyway. Verbal equivalent of him trying to do the buckshot and failing miserably, twice.

PWInsider: In regard to the Ryan Nemeth situation, one AEW talent believed that him being sent home may have been precipitated by Nemeth walking around and saying hello to everyone at the hotel before the taping but not stopping and saying hello to CM Punk and others Punk was with. The talent noted that several weeks ago, Punk had held a locker room meeting about trying to keep the Collision locker room as drama free as possible and that with Nemeth having knocked Punk on Twitter around the time he returned to the ring in Chicago for the Collision premiere, that would fly in the face of that.

As we noted yesterday, Punk and Nemeth had a conversation after that Tweet several months back and the belief among a source close to Nemeth was that the two sides were fine. However, the talent who witnessed Nemeth "blow off" Punk and his group (whether purposely or accidental the talent could not say) stated that they could see how Nemeth acting that way would set off Punk, given what he's tried to set in the Collision locker room. The source commented that they weren't defending Punk, but they could understand the cause and effect there. As we reported yesterday, AEW VP Pat Buck sent Nemeth home last Saturday, telling him he would be working Wednesdays instead.
