It's hitting me today how much of a bummer it is that Phil comes back and a month in sucks up all the air in AEW with his petty BS. I should be hype for All In, enjoying all the angles and matches rn cuz there are a lot I'm enjoying, not fretting about what this goofus will doofus next. People online were already complaining about how All In card "sucks", Jericho is a waste for Oespray, etc. I was talking about my own feelings about things not the always negative folks lol

The long standing tradition of something else taking away from the positivity of the main shows is continuing and this is basically the worst one for it to happen at.

So on The Hump SRS confirmed some stuff. 1)Page was never at the arena nor was he asked to not show up. 2)Punk did apologize to Page 3)Felt The Punk/Perry stuff was blown out of proportion 4)Some do have an issue with Punk but disputes Bryan Alvarez's reports that morale was low or rather that comment is too broad a stroke. There are some that are unhappy with things but most of the roster doesn't have to deal with it so they don't care. Also disputes that wrestlers are unhappy with Tony. 5)Disputes that talent is upset with booking of Wembley You gotta love dirt sheet reporters. After days of reports of backstage nonsense it then becomes "it's not that bad, guys." Fightful were reporting on this as much as anyone and riling people up.

Ace Steel is back with AEW….technically.
Ace Steel was brought back to the company ahead of AEW Collision and is on the payroll, but he won’t be in the buildings and hasn't been. Sources confirmed in May to Fightful that due to the Brawl Out situation, he was told that he was considered an “insurance risk,” and wouldn’t be permitted to attend the shows.
After months out of the fold, we’ve learned that Steel met with Tony Khan in recent months and spoke about wrestling. Ultimately it was decided that he could return to AEW in some capacity while not being on the road, and would be permitted to seek work outside of All Elite Wrestling as well. The word was that his deal is up in the Fall of 2024.
Steel supposedly confers on a lot of things, and having periodic conversations with Tony Khan, and suggesting things for CM Punk specifically. It was also suggested that he received back pay for the time that he was out.

Lmao, imagine being too much of an insurance risk to be allowed backstage at a pro wrestling show.
And still keeping your job.
Absolute nonsense.

When you analyze it it's freakin crazy to think about...This is a company that has had barbwire death matches, blood and guts, lights out, street fights, and pizza cutters (etc.) but has to draw the line at a backstage individual being present while also having to cater to the whim of the very reason he is there in the first place. So ate up that he is still insisting on being involved considering they are willing to pay him either way...Just take the Lanny Poffo deal and go

So TK gave him the 1 year deal that he gives to people who had issues in the past to prove themselves(happened in Fulham and the Jags as well)

If Steel is at home sitting on his arse because your insurance provider doesn't trust him not to sink his teeth into someones arm, when what use is the f***er?

Love that the wrestling journos are now going 'everything is being blown out of proportion', when it is them that are the ones writing FIGHT BITE SEND-HOME BITCH every f***ing article for the last year or so. They should all be praying at the altar of Phil, the gift that keeps on giving.
Also, the fact that Meltzer has been involved in this carny media bullshit for over 40 YEARS in some capacity is just f***ing mindblowing.

The long standing tradition of something else taking away from the positivity of the main shows is continuing and this is basically the worst one for it to happen at. To me the MJF situation was the worst when actively detracting from what was on-screen, tanked my interest in what I had been invested in. However no matter how it played out it was temporary. Same with brawl out, it was absurd enough to be funny and felt temporary, the elite would soon be back and we'd never see Punk again. This on it's own detracts a little so far but being tired sums it up, Punk won't change and doesn't seem to face consequences so for the first time this isn't temporary, it's a shadow that looms over everything.

No, Dorian is a completely morally bankrupt carny who would put Stalin himself in the main event of Triplemania if he thought it'd help him sell a few more tickets.
